My friend has a home theatre and i took my laptop over to his house to play the game and it was a marvelous experience with surround sound and a dark room with just kid A, truly great.

I think the "pay what you want" method of supporting artists did evolve in some ways into what we see today with Patreon and similar sites, though that didn't really happen so much with more "established" artists that are on big labels. Radiohead was definitely very forward thinking though in that idea, as well as how they used the early internet to their advantage. Awesome video!

I seriously love Radiohead’s marketing, the blips were amazing and I really wish they did them again. Not to mention there merch is great. One other thing I love that they did is the now archive site (not sure if it marketing but still) it’s a great time waster but also really interesting to explore all the rabbit holes you can fall into.

it's cool to see bands do more than the obvious when it comes to album presentation and marketing, trying something different at every level. what would be some of your favorite approaches to this by other bands?

I’m not sure know to many other bands with marketing campaigns as odd as these, I can think of some recent marketing campaigns that I thought were interesting, like Kaynes live stream before Dondas release, I don’t necessarily listen to him at all but I heard a lot about that which was interesting, the only older one I can think of that was cool was Arcade Fires Graffiti for the release of Reflektor in 2013ish, I’m sure there’s more and I definitely think it’s something I might try to research and cover in the future!
