Radiohead do have a natural gift of creating surreal sonic atmospheres in their music that transport the listener of their tracks to their personal and collective mental and musical space of their eclectic group. This track Staircase has a driving melodic bass line ,a pulsating and fluid drumbeat , interesting and sparse diminished minor guitar chords ,and cool ambiguous but also specific lyrics that create a musical soundtrack that is elevating and unique like a descriptive video movie scene .I have a couple of Radiohead cds but I just listen to the group or band on youtube now. Thanks for all of the British alt rock magic you have created over the years Radiohead.
