This is a fantastic video! Thanks for putting the time in to create it. I am guessing from the images towards the end of the video that you are aware of the inspiration behind the song; namely, the Hungerford massacre of 1987 in which Michael Ryan fatally shot 16 people before turning the gun on himself.
@Lyber15 жыл бұрын
I agree with semineil, unbelievable vocals from Thom Yorke... It's a so great combination with guitars in this song... Radiohead es lo mejor que existe. Good video! Radiohead doesn't always go with the videos, but this one isn't as bad as you all cry about!

This track was written by Radiohead in response to The 1987 Hungerford Massacre in which 'Loner' Michael Ryan shot 31 people killing 16 of them before taking the cowards way out.. See folks.... death sells, just hope Radiohead saw fit to donate the money they made from this song to the families of the victims.

@rautibo i highly doubt that is why he doesn't do this song. i just heard him live 2 weeks ago and his voice is as good as ever. that note was probably difficult to record in a studio so i am sure he could improvise in some way if he really wanted to play this song. maybe you are right though...

Okay, RH super-nerd question here: I know from countless interviews that this song's original lyric, "Just shoot your gun", was removed following Cobain's suicide, as Yorke didn't want people to think he was referring to that, BUT...does anyone know which line is the replacement? Like, did it go "Just like your dad / Just shoot your gun"?? Or, "Just shoot your gun / You'll never change"?? I guess the 2nd seems more likely, but...very curious, have been for years.

Hey, is a sweet song, but I am wondering if this is an official video from the band, or just a well done fanimation? I am making a dvd set of all the Radiohead music videos out there, and need go get everything from A-Z. But still a great song from an early album.

dont know if they donated any money to those families or not but to make a song of this magnitude out of a situation like that. where a lost soulless shell does that to the innocent just shows me how genius they really are. i'm sure u know they put in rainbows on the net and let their fans buy it for whatever they thought it was worth. that doesn't seem like a money mongering machine to me.
@farfetched786815 жыл бұрын
wow, i kinda expected that to suck like most youtube videos. I thought the "when your on your knees" part veered towards the cheesily literal, but other than that, good job.

When looking back at there early work, most of it seems so unimportant in comparison with what they've been putting out since Kid A. I really, really hate this song actually... I'm sure I'll get some serious hating, but a lot of the early stuff just isn't worth it.
