Thank you so much for sharing this & pardon me for using English- I’m more fluent in communicating it than Spanish. But I understand & read Spanish very well. I’m in the middle of reading/studying several Nahua-given sources.. Florentine, Tlatelolco, Aubin (tnchttlan), letras de Huexotzinco, Cuauhtinchan (chalco). But right now the main focus is Nahuas through 1521-1800. This area is gray sometimes. I appreciate how he communicated the context of the Mexica’s foundation. It is true that Teotihuacan’s expanse took ~600 years and Tolteca ~400, but the Mexica’s was done in a very relatively short time… as you put it: we can definitely say it is a testament to their militant pressure in the region but also their Clear Objectives & “to be part of that history”. I think that’s what makes our Mexica ancestors great. I feel often the Mexica receive the blame ( as much as the credit they get for other group’s contributions) and the ultimate judgment for ALL of the natives. On multiple accounts & aspects do we see their name alongside exaggerations and biased narratives. But what is undeniable is that much of what the Mexica were known for (popularly) were accumulations of their experiences in the regions- the ways of life they picked up and learned being there-the way they learned to survive and take advantage of unbalanced situations-the practices that legitimized the greats in the regions… this was an amazing feat.

Y... ¿Qué es un altépetl? ¿Qué es un Tlahtocayotl? Se les olvidó hablar para el público en general. He visto casi todos los videos de RADIO INAH y éste es el primero que no me gusta. No entiendo gran cosa; ¿En qué se relaciona el Colegio Militar al sur de la ciudad con la cosmovisión mexica? Faltó contacto con los radioescuchas.
