Man, again here with questions, I was also starting flying with thumbs, and it was sketchy, then whatching videos I found out its more comfy to use mix grip and I stuck with it, the only problem is that directing the right stick to the extreme left and up left is almost impossible... that is why i cant do some stuff.. any advice?

I "upgraded" to the max and now I want my regular boxer back. I mean this is heavier, the sticks feel off to me. My range is off like heads pointed out. I've been flying worse with it. 🤔

@@fpvsmurf I would think that it's just a little bit of a time thing. Where you need to get used to the ag01's, but for sure changes like that must be noticeable at the starting point. Everyone must love the ag01's for a reason

Love my Max!!! Only gripe is the antenna will wiggle loose over time. But one of my homies came up with a great fold-up antenna mod that is non destructive and doesn't even require you to take the Boxer apart.

I got the regular Boxer a few months after it was released. Bone stock, this is a great radio. I added AG01 gimbals and the LED kit. I also got the kickstand from Brain3D. Only things im missing from the Max edition is the carbon fiber faceplate and the metal buttons. I love my Boxer! But ive been flying my micros more recently and have been using the Pocket. Almost feel bad neglecting my nice radio.

@@fpvsmurf honestly i really like the lil cheap thing. I got it for my son for when he's ready to fly but find myself using it all the time lol. I got a ranger nano module for it so i can get up to 1W just like the Boxer. I really love it!

@@fpvsmurf i dont like the sticks that the Pocket came with. I ordered some m2x25mm threaded posts to put in the gimbals so i could use my sticky360 grips. I had a gimbal guard 3D printed and can still use the bag to keep it in. For thumbers and ppl who like gamepad style radios its perfect. Some ppl dont like the switches and buttons on it but i dont mind them. Just wish the momentary was on the right like the Boxer.

I've got a Boxer but I'm struggling with the gimbals, I realized I don't like full size gimbals🤷🏻‍♂️ I'm keeping it though cuz you can't beat the battery life on this one if you wanna crank up the power to 1w elrs or crossfire and fly long range. So the Tango 2 is my main radio and the Boxer is my backup radio.

@@circlearoundtheworld The "minigimbals" in the Zorro are smaller and feels more like a toy radio than the Tango2 and Mambo. I really liked the feeling of the Boxer gimbals but they're just too big. Tried shorter stick ends and it made it better but gave me less precision

I have a standard boxer I put the AG01 gimbals in and I love it. I also added some thumb grippies to it because I hate the stock stick ends. As far as drop testing I have you covered. I dropped mine off the railing on my back stairs by accident and it landed in the grass sticks facing down from about 6 feet up. I have also dropped it on the floor in my house a few times. Only damage so far is one broken switch and I broke off the thumb grippies stick ends. It still works perfectly after all the abuse I've put it through. I just have to order a new switch from Radiomaster to replace the one I broke and it will be good as new.

Fractal is a sponsor of mine. The saying "Fractal Sucks" came from my OSD on all of my Fractal builds. Kind of supposed to be ironic.
