You are very welcome. I just want to answer your other question in case you do not have an SDCard in your TX12. I am assuming you do not have an SDCard in your TX12 so you will not have the sounds. You need to check the version of OpenTX on your radio and go to the OpenTX website download the SDCard contents. Then unzip the contents and place on your SDCard now when you put the SDCard card in your radio you will have sounds. No radio found. Yet i can flash firmware to it using ELRS Configurator. I can connect to my computer using USB storage and access files. But run OpenTX Companion I can't connect and do anything. Do they at Radiomaster actually test the product before releasing it to the public?

You will need to download the latest version of OpenTX Companion. www.open-tx.org/2021/10/01/companion-downloads This will not effect your SDCard problem.

When your radio starts up does it say OpenTX or EdgeTX? No, it cannot be both. You will need to goto a different website to get your firmware depending on the type of firmware your radio has installed.

I assume your radio is not coming on at all? Take out the battery and wait a minute and plug it back in and try and turn the radio on. If that does not make the radio come to life you may have selected the incorrect firmware.

Hey, I have a TX12 that came with a Novice IV drone. It came pretty setup. My question is this: how do you put the virtual gimbals and the way you have the main screen set up? Mine just has the values for the gimbals and switches (from -100 to 100) but not set up nice like yours is. Thank you in advanced.

Because the TX12 only has the CC2500 RF chip you cannot bind it to FlySky receivers. You can bind it to the TX16S using the AFHDS 2A protocol because the TX16S has the 4 in 1 multi protocol module.

Hello, I just bought Radiomaster TX12. In user manual it says that firmware is updated in the factory. Do you think I should update it anyway? If so, do I need SD card to update it? I will turn it on first time this week

You do not have to update the firmware unless there is a necessary update or you want to use the latest features that come along with the new release. An SDCard card is not required to the radios firmware but I would recommend getting one so you have the sounds.

You are very welcome. You do need at USB-C cable to back up your radio and model settings in Companion which I highly recommend you do. The radio firmware can be by placing it on the SDCard and putting your radio into bootloader mode and select update firmware.

Hi there, you need to update your SDCard contents. With some firmware updates you need the new contents.

Hi James, if you are using an ExpressLRS module in the JR bay of your TX12 then if you updated the firmware of the external module you will then need to download the new lua script for the version you updated to.

So i followed stepp by step and also my radio tells me i have the same firmware as you have on it. but if i start it up still get an sd card error. it says Expectet ver:2.3V0035 I can skip this warning but why do i get it?

You need to download the SDCard contents and copy them to a SDCard and insert it into your radio. downloads.open-tx.org/2.3/release/sdcard/ Choose TX12 You will then have the sounds for your radio.

Hi, first take the batteries out wait a few seconds and put them back in and try and turn your radio on. Just check you download the correct EdgeTX for your radio.

@@phoebe1112 if you are not confident in doing the update process then your radio will be fine on the current firmware. Sometimes there is an important update which you should put on your radio. You can check this by reading the release notes.

Hiya, so I’m still struggling with the radio. Basically I’m trying to learn to fly manually so I can get a job with an inspection company. Just trying to get into it and get flying but want the radio to tell me what mode I’m in etc but it doesn’t do that. How do I get it to talk to me. If I buy the four in one module can I use the TX12 with my Hubsan drones? Can you recommend the best four in one module please? I'm confused it says Hubsan in menu but can't use it with it, is that because I have to get the four in one first?

I have checked my TX12 and the Hubsan protocol is not available so you will need to add a 4-in-1 module for your TX12. I have taken a look at the multi org website and Hubsan is supported for certain models please check out this link www.multi-module.org/using-the-module/protocol-details/hubsan I cannot recommend a 4-in-1 module to you because I have not used an external module personally. No one has reported back to me any bad ones but TBS do make an external multi protocol module.

@@honza6012 if it has ACCESS firmware you cannot bind it to your TX12. If ACCST it will depend on the firmware so select either FrSky X or FrSkyX2 if you are in the EU the subtype should be LBT(EU) or other D16. FrSky do not make it easy because you cannot tell what firmware is on the receiver.

Hi, yes it more than likely is the protocol you are using please try FrSky X and if that does not work try FrSky X2.

Hey Bill, I have a weird issue... After updating to betaflight 4.1 my OSD rssi value is stuck at 9. Quad flys great, just obviously can't go very far. When I turn the quad upside down it will shoot up to 90, but as soon as I level the quad out back to 9. I've repositioned the antennas and even installed a new pair, but same result. I'm using an FRSky xm+ and tx12 controller. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped

I have never come across this problem before the fact they the RSSI jumps when the quad is inverted would suggest that the antennas are loose. I would suggest checking all the connections and especially where the antennas attach to the XM+. After checking this I would try another receiver in case the XM+ is the problem. I am sure it is not a firmware problem.

@@califpv Check you receiver settings in BF or if your quad was operating ok on the previous version of BF maybe revert back to that version. I am not sure what settings would have changed in the new version of BF would effect your RSSI and make you lose range because the link between your TX and receiver has not changed because of the newer BF. Is your FC receiving the incorrect RSSI and then thinking there is a Failsafe and cutting the motors? Is your quad going to failsafe? You are right it is a weird issue. Please let me know if you solve the problem in the new version of BF.

Really didn't want to go back below BF 4.1 because I got b-rectional D-Shot all setup and RPM filtering which just zipping around near me I could tell a huge difference in responsiveness... I'll probably try this receiver before going back on BT FW ..
