'for all this was just a game, to a world that is sinful (driven by plunder/greed)'. This is arguably the best OPM song (spanning three/four generations) ever written. But I believe the perspective (just human) is wrong and I would argue the opposite, given there is a sampling bias which only correlates with those who exercise poor choices and succumb to that of most of the predicament (ambitions that have been met or/satisfied by that of losing). In my childhood I was fortunate enough to meet those 'spring bringers', those who yearn so hard for celebration, those who do not take 'no' for an answer, and there are those 'who are desperate enough' to have their 'ambitions fully satisfied by winning'. This is also what's at the heart of Ayn Rand's philosophy (true freedom from the second handers/somewhat ubermensch); given it is not all that 'we are the product of our world' but there can still be that chance that 'that the world can be a product of we/me (individual)'.
