My mom died in my arms and I hated God for taking her but she. had 10 chicken and didn't want us separated but out of 7 girls and 3boys myself and my oldest brother were the only 2 to graduate and go to College. This is a true song. I can remember when my mother used to pack our lunches in an old greasing bad. We didn't have much either, but we never went hungry, my daddy made sure of that. We lived on a farm, he raised chickens, cows, pigs and he planted his own garden. And oh what a beautiful garden it was. He raised everything in that garden. The only thing mama had to buy was flour, she made her own lard and soap. Now you know we lived in the country, and when I say country, we lived way deep down in the country. Our house was the only house back down in that field. I had to pick and chop cotton, oh, how I hated that. But I had to do it. I did it and didn't complain. GOD has really blessed us. Because we were some hard working people, but it paid off in the end,. THANK YOU GOD!!!!

Mummy died when I was 7. I don’t remember her voice, her laughter, her cooking and her cries. Mummy missed 17 birthdays, and all my graduations.
