this is what i'm most excited for in s2 ahh i wonder who she is! (i'm still partial to the "she's a god of the Toymaker and Maestro's kind who controls storytelling and she's writing the Doctor and Ruby's lives" theory bc it sounds very fun and very on theme with some episodes in s1 but who knows)

I like the storyteller idea, I mean, she didn't say she was bringing terror to the Doctor. As I've been wondering why she was hanging around Ruby and why she was nice to her, but not so nice to others, that would give some explanation for it. We didn't get an explanation for the snow around Ruby either (or I missed it) and it was snowing in Mrs Floods final scene on the rooftop. I'm also wondering if she's a full on baddie. She appears sinister but hasn't actually done anything bad yet. She was even comforting to Ruby's gran.

@@Elwaves2925Regarding the snow, There was technically an answer in episode 8, alongside the reveal of Ruby's mum and why she was so important to the plot, but the general consensus seems to be that it sucked and no-one liked it.

@@iamverylazywithnames4528 Yes and that explains some things but I wouldn't call it an explanation for the snow. There was a lot I liked about the finale but the flaws really bring it down.

​@@Elwaves2925 we did get an explanation. During the second tenant special when he invoked a superstition at the edge of the universe. From that point on the universe itself has been malleable to suggestion and belief. It's why time traveling goblins and other supernatural occurrences now exist in universe.

My granddaughter was thrilled to meet Anita Doberman in 2023 at a Christmas fair in Kent, unfortunately Anita wasn't feeling well and only stayed at the church fair for approximately 20 minutes but was so kind to sign pictures and take photos with fans. Near the end of the Christmas fair and whilst trying a piece of Christmas cake Anita Doberman vomited in front of all the party guests causing much commotion and distress for other visitors to the event. Thankfully Anita was escorted away from the party and into the first aid tent where she received treatment and reassurance from staff.

I think she is the 11 from big finish. I heard ages ago that the 11 would appear on the tv version of doctor who. At some point in the future. And even on big finish the 11th has changed into a woman and she is a time lord. With multiple personalities disorder. So that what I think she is

It'll be interesting to see how the Mrs. Flood plotline turns out, though still a little disappointed about Ruby's Mum's story so hopefully the Mrs. Flood stuff delivers a more satisfying twist!

What was specifically wrong with it? I mean, there have been better finales, but I did find it enjoyable. Definitely not awful, even if it did fall into the trap of destroying a lot with no real consequences (which, to be fair, we kind of expect from DW at this point)

The apalling damb squib that was the reveal of Rubys mum - You can excuse all you like nothing covers for the insane level of build up for us then to be told 'why id you overthink it moron.' - I dont watch TV to treated rudely. I am deadd insie so trying to punch me in the feels to make up for a good plotline jsut doesn't work. Everytime he cries I roll my eyes with boredom. ANdd blaming himself for what Sutewkh di even though he knows he is about to undo it? Absolutely effing boring, and 100% cringe.

@@JustB3NJI The spoon scene I'll give you. I find it fine, but eh, I get why you'd dislike it. As for the reveal, the point isn't that you got your hopes up for nothing, it's that we were excited at all. And that the ordinary is extraordinary - a theme RTD has used before, though never so presently. I think it's a good countermeasure to the Doctor-worship and super-special companions that slowly crept into the show starting all the way back in 2008. I do get why you'd dislike it, but I'd personally have disliked yet another "the companion is magically special to the fate of the world". She's important cos people assigned her importance. But, yeah, if you hated it, that's fair. I didn't think it was perfect by any means, but I did enjoy it myself. Feel free to come back when RTD leaves again, I'm sure they'll be glad to have you back as a viewer.
