I totally forgot that Robb was going to offer independence and reinstating the kingdom of the Iron Islands! God I hate that Balon didn't take such an amazing offer. I understand why he didn't (even though I think its ridiculous) but to be King again after 300 years is so much better than sacking the north for maybe a year or two before sinking back to the islands with their tails between their legs and still having to pay homage to the iron throne. 🙄🙄🙄

Without a doubt Rob made a critical decision which reminds us of his youth and inexperience. Commanders must provide their subordinates with their intent in order to guide decision making. Especially when considering that the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands is position of authority that is generally allowed latitude to make decisions. Additionally "Hold River Run" is a naively ambiguous order which doesn't preclude other actions and sounds like a turn of phrase rather than specific military orders that exclude all other actions.

Great episode. 1 minor critique. It seems that book readers have declared that Robb married Jeyne for honors sake and that the show altered his reasons. But when explaining his marriage, he tells Cat he understands her letting Jaime go because it was a mistake made due to love. Just like his mistake of breaking his betrothal. Did honor have anything to do with it? Sure; but I dont think the "teenage love" angle is mentioned enough when discussing his decision to marry Jeyne

We simply don't have enough perspective for this. Of course he must say he loves his queen! He couldn't dishonor her is the only thing we know for sure. The way he said mistakes for love, atleast from catelyns perspective, was a trap so that she could not chastise his poor decision
