Radius Prisma

Clicking on this a couple of hours later, I'm kind of delighted to see that most of the comments seem to be from people like me who missed out on the MZ, then jumped on the Radius with a quickness. Makes me feel like less of a weirdo AND makes me happy that several other people get to enjoy getting a second bite at the apple with this design.

I am so happy I was able to grab this pen. I was kind of crushed to miss out on the prisma. This is also a really nice looking fountain pen. I love the frosted look. Woohoo can’t wait to ink it up! 😊

Thank you for this interesting and thorough review! I am glad Stilo e Stile have produced this new Radius Prisma. Fortunately, I managed to get a Momento Zero Prisma when it was (extremely briefly) on sale :) I wish Stilo e Stile would produce larger limited edition runs, as these sell so rapidly. IMHO, the Momento Zero version is more elegant and less 'stubby', but this is a very nice pen. For those who might be interested, I initially bought the Prisma with an EF elastic nib, which I found too fine for my writing style. I was delighted to see that Stilo e Stile had a stock of alternative Prisma nibs and bought a replacement F elastic, which is excellent. So if the lucky purchasers of the Radius are interested in having alternative nibs, there may be a stock at Stilo e Stile.

Just got a PenBBS 456 on a similar frosted look and I'm silly for it... this is even better looking though as much as i love the brass scenes on the 456

With thanks to you, I was able to snag one of these beauties and assuage my Prisma longings somewhat. I love the satin glass-like feel of this resin and of course the rainbow internal parts really make it, too.

This pen looks lively and very attractive. It would mke a very nice gift to those starting out on fountain pens especially youngsters who do well in academia. Thank you David for mentioning this ink, I'v already placed it in my list of future ink purchases as I love teal inks, it is also close to Scribo Verde Mediterraneo.. Stilo e Stile are a wonderful pen store, I happen to be a permanent customer and their customer service is top notch.

As for the matte finish, I think if Leonardo could make it in a rainbow color(s), it would be awesome. I have to see if I can swing the funds for this pen. It is beautiful.

Got mine right after the email arrived! Woo hoo! so pleased the stub was available. Your video confirmed my suspicions - that Radius is a subsidiary of Leonardo. I know it will be exceptionally well-made.

@@cottingtonmae Which nib were you looking at? I looked at the site to see if if was sold out (I ordered one a few hours ago and was curious to see if it had sold out yet), and it looked like some nib options were sold out but others were still available--if you change the nib in the pull-down menu, some have an active "add to cart" button, while others say "notify me when it becomes available" (in other words, sold out).

Like others, I was disappointed to have missed out on the MZ version. But I like the band on this Radius even more than the rings on the MZ, perhaps it was fortuitous that I missed out on the other. Of course, I suppose I could have lived with one of each… I continue to think that it’s a mistake make LEs of pens that will clearly be popular. To me, the value of a pen lies not in how many of them there are, but in the writing experience, which is sometimes greatly enhanced by the aesthetics of the pen. Why disappointment so many people unnecessarily? I do agree that this pen would be almost as beautiful in the blue matte, but I do like the starker contrast between the rainbow shadings and the frosty resin. And I also admire the way the knob of the converter matches the trim and shows through the barrel. Another home-run review!
