Radlands Update: Expansion Announced

Hey Punks,
I wanted to discuss the newest announcement regarding Radlands from Roxley Games. An expansion, Cult of Chrome, has been confirmed with very little additional information given. Let's talk about it and let's speculate what this could mean.

Excited! The camps are all awesome in the original box. No one is obsolete, I can play with all of them. Having more gorgeous camps is pretty amazing and will make the game even better. Some more heroes would be nice,too!

Isn't the whole point of their cards that they don't need to be sleeved?

In my opinion the synth cards don't need to be sleeved (though some people do for some reason). I bring up sleeves because the retail version is made from linen card stock. That's the version most people are probably sleeving. Thanks for watching and commenting. Really appreciate it ☺️

As I primarily solo board game player myself I'd love this as well. But this has been confirmed as a camp only expansion with no rules changed or added.

Very excited! Could the restore rule correction has anything to do with the camp expansion, became the restore camps obsolete, and replaced by some new camps?

That's a good question. The rules update was a year ago so there is probably a pretty good chance they might have been worked on around the same time. The rules updates could have been to improve the current game and also future proof for this. Something to keep an eye on for sure when they let us know more.

dude, you have an entire channel for Radlands!?! I love it. Radlands to me is one of the most under rated games I have ever played. I don't think it needs anything added at all.

That I do. I love this game and thought I could help the community since nobody else had one at the time. Nothing too fancy but I think it gets the job done. I think what they are adding won't change the DNA of the game at all. It will just be more Radlands. Daniel, the designer, posted an update yesterday going over what he wanted from the expansion. That was his main concern as well and he feels they delivered on that. Thanks for commenting and watching the video. Really appreciate it ☺️

Are the cards in the retail and deluxe versions of the base game linen/pvc too? (If I have the retail version of the base I'd need to pick up the retail version of the expansion so my cards match?) Or is it just the Expansion that has PVC cards?

Roxley has stated that both versions will be available again. The retail edition of the game will be available in stores and the PVC/synth edition will be available directly from their website when the expansion releases.

Yes, the current base game has the same two versions the expansion will have. The linen cards is the retail version found in stores and the synth/pvc version of the game (deluxe and super deluxe) can be purchased from the Roxley website. @@universityofradlands thank you. Guess I'll be getting the retail version then so my cards match. The deluxe wasn't available when I bought it and I wasn't super fussed about the water tokens so I just bought the retail and then the mats separate for ease of play since it indicates all the options and I suck at remembering rules n things lol 🙂

Happy to help. Honestly the retail version has some perks over the deluxe. The art on the cards pops so much more and they really stand out on the table. The cardboard tokens are still really good as well. Love the playmats too. They aren't needed but boy do they make things so much easier to play and keep track of. why would you sleeve these cards? This cards will outlive the sleeves

I don't think you need to sleeve the synth cards, though I have seen some people do that. I mostly mentioned this for the retail version with the linen cardstock.
