Too bad absolutely f#*&^ all of your decisions there end up mattering: Help triss expose the lodge? The mages are purged anyway. Sided with Iorveth? The scoietel are all abut extinct and Roche still helps you. Saved foltest's daughter (either one) killed by Radovid (again either one) Saved saskia? She ends up having to give up her dragon form and gets her but kicked by Nilfgaurd. There seem to be exactly 2 decisions you can make that effect witcher 3: Spare Aryan and his mother won't yell at you, and sparing Letho will let you recruit him for the Kaer Moren baattle (if you can find him).

She honestly deserved it. Don’t let the looks fool you. Philippa is a horrible person. And Radovid was written really poorly in the Witcher 3. If you save Triss, Radovid showcases his fairness as a ruler, then in the next game, CDPR just throw that out the window and beat you over the head with how “he’s mad”, despite never showcasing this prior. The developers really wanted you to side with Nilfgaard which is a shame in an RPG series were they should allow the player to decide for themselves the best option for the fate of the world, instead of cartoony portraying one side (who are the victims in this war) as irredeemably evil.

It is a dam shame they focus so hard on the wild hunt but the the third war with Nilfgaard that they perfectly setup in the second game gets like two quest that decide its fate. The wild hunt should have been not have been the central piece of the story or should have been for the fourth game

W2 sets up his paranoia and hatred of sorceresses really well, and depending on your choices he likely turns the whole city into a paranoid Witchhunt hellscape with anyone suspected of helping or defending witches murdered in the streets along with dozens of mages.
@gyula47236

@@richardwhaler8717 What Radovid became in Witcher 3 wasn't set up at all. Starting a witch hunt when a ploughing dragon swoops down at the summit of the northern kingdoms, and then grabs a witch to help her escape while trying to kill everyone else, is not extreme whatsoever. And it isn't even done if Geralt and Triss bring proof to show who is involved. They believe proof of a Witcher who is supposedly a kingslayer, and a Witch who was part of the plotters secret society. That is extremely level headed, even naive, from Radovid. In real life imagine a summit of the largest countries of the planet being attacked.. we would see nukes flying within minutes. Radovid is the guy who faces a fire breathing dragon with a shield, not some coward who runs from a witch and gets backstabbed.
