It was so cool meeting Eric at DGRR. That car is nuts in person - the camera doesn't do it justice. There's so much rotating mass the whole front end flexes while it's idling. Johnny and Melinda are both great folks, and everyone at DGRR are down to earth people - and rotary fanatics all. I said it to them and I'll say it again: it takes a special kind of patient and humble person to love these cars. They're absolutely the kind of folks you want to meet and become friends with. I can't wait to see them all again next year.

I sid also think about that. Theory? Bedding in the apex seals... ? From a basic engineering standpoint, they are vulnerable, I reckon.

How much premix is the 4 rotor running? Pukin out wayyyy too much smoke. Part of brake in?

I asked Eric about the exhaust smoke at the dam. Some combination of build prep lube and the incomplete tune, and sorting out mild flood, etc. getting it running. He said at that point on Friday they had not much more than 40 minutes total drive time on the car.
