I have two young grandchildren who were anxious to ride my radrunner plus , I took the seat off to avoid the temptation to let them ride with this 73 year old. .by drilling two holds in my back frame behind the bicycle seat I could install the front rack parallel to the bike making it easier to get my bike thru the doorway , than having it on the front of the bike.I store it in a guest room. I found that the mirror from rad was either too small or the support needs to be longer to get it farther outside the frame. It barely is worth having a mirror with their mirror. I also decided that since I usually use level 1 assist and bought the bike for exercise that that “ gas tank thing “ would probably impair or restrict peddling and more importantly eliminate the advantages of buying a step thru being easier to mount AND much easier to get your feet on the ground when stooping. This is especially important if having to make an emergency stop. If you’re older definitely get a step thru. Sooner or later you will be glad you purchased a step thru. One accessory that I would is a $20 alarm sold by Amazon. It’s not perfect but may cause someone stealing your bike to reconsider. I found that at our grocery store the bike racks are sometimes full and a large diameter cable lock will allow me to lock do the outside of the bike rack or to a pole or other object. I only wish I had found one a little longer. The cable is more versatile than the u-shaped lock.😅

You don't need to take the back wheel off to install the fender just deflate it.

I'm waiting for mine to be delivered this week, but I love your idea of a hinge on the gas tank! I'll do that and maybe add a lock on it

One thing...that isn't a controller. It's the LCD screen. Radrunner controllers are under the battery.

Have you thought about using the console w/o the top on? we do not travel when raining if we can. Also most of the time racks are exposed to the elements I could be wrong with my thought

why does everyone complain about the center console ! you can see exactly what it is when looking at pictures can you? its a useful box that looks a bit like an old moped the phone holder is fine the drinks holder holds dog treats and small hand sanitizer the rest of the box holds tools puncture kit spare inertube disk lock phone charger pack pen knife cable ties bunggystraps waterproof poncho and foldable shovel, pen fishing rod and a few lurs ect oh plenty of room for a drinking bottle so everyone stop buying it if that's not enough!!!!🙄😋

Thanks for this review, very useful. I am wondering if your kid now uses just the rear seat and if it works out well ? I am debating buying additional back rest and handles on amazon for my small 5 year old. My bike should arrives soon.

We ended up having a second kid and I sold the green one and bought a radwagon 4. The older kid is now 6 and loves the back of the radwagon. I wouldn't trust him on the back of the radrunner for a year or two, the safety cage on the radwagon is great. At a minimum I would get the seat back and something for your kid to hang onto.

You talked about controller, think you meant display. The display interfaces with controller to set operation of some aspects of motor function, and other options.

Well, they call it a display on the website so I suppose you're right. But it also includes swapping out the actual part with buttons that controls power on/off and the motor assist level, and that lets you change settings on the display.
