No. This is the problem with India and artists. People need an actor and actress to lip synch to a professional singer and a band that most average indians have no clue about. I grew up at a time before the word Bollywood was coined. Where one person (Lata) did all the background music. For most tracks. In a nation of over a billion people, to only think of Lata and Kishore was ridiculous. At the time, the film industry showed movies of the actors rolling on the grass and running around trees singing. Because there was no developed dance actors then. I actually learned about it from a TOI article back then and I'll never forget it. Not to compare, but it is an eventuality when an industry matures like for eg in the west. A movie will feature a very popular sound track for maybe 20 secs. But the MUSIC ARTISTS and their industry is so well developed, that they have massive concerts worldwide. People have fan clubs of individual members of a band. It will happen in India too and it may take another 10 years before it gets big on that scene. But it will happen. And people like Parth and his band will create their own music and not have to depend on Bollywood for recognition.
