Rae I feel you but that show was very good. It was one of the most positive uplifting black shows I’ve seen as of recent. For brothers to put the negativity aside and come together to eat and make a better life for themselves and their families, you gotta respect that. Notice after the first season, the show shifted away from the gritty street portrayal and focused primarily on the brotherhood and music in the next two seasons. RZA’s brother said in an interview that they did that intentionally. He said their were too many negative shows on TV glorifying the streets already and he wanted American Saga to be shown in a different light. It probably didn’t turn out the way some of the members wanted but the message was made clear and definitely inspirational to the culture.

An interesting part about this interview and Raekwon is he has heavy saccadic eye movement. When he’s asked certain questions his eyes move rapid back and forth in the same direction. His eyes are showing he is actively scanning his memories and triggering different sections of each hemisphere in his brain. The brain uses saccades to quickly scan the mind like a mental rolodex. I’m sure when he’s in creative mode or writing rhymes his saccadic eye movements are crazy. Just a nod to his genius and ability to be a deep thinker 🫡❤️

Most biopics are inaccurate, because Hollywood wants to put their stamp on them, the closest one that was the most accurate was The New Edition Story.

Personally speaking, as an OG fan from '93, the Hulu series really didn't feel real. It felt like acting as opposed to the genuine articles; like contrived. So, I would be 100% down to see a movie made; but it would HAVE TO BE a Trilogy.

All the actors were good and believable in the role. They seemed to have put their heart in the roles. They could only work with the script they were given.
