The official music video for RaeLynn's new single, “Broken One.”
Stream “Broken One” everywhere: stem.ffm.to/br...
“Broken One” has an extra layer of personal meaning as it is the second part of "Love Triangle" off her Wildhorse album, about growing up in a divorced home and finding love and a marriage that has lasted. RaeLynn’s breathtaking and heartfelt music video captures this story by featuring her husband, daughter, and in-laws.
The highly anticipated single is a fan favorite on TikTok, garnering countless requests for the full track. RaeLynn comments on the single, "The idea behind this song stemmed from thinking about life after being raised in a divorced home. What happens after the "Love Triangle"? That’s Broken One-- finding a love that can break a cycle. I truly believe that God can fix, heal and restore. I have so many friends that grew up like me and found an everlasting love. I love the realness of this song. I teased it in December '22 and fans shared it over and over-- I knew we had something special."

This song is literally how I feel! I came from a broken home and my husband didn't! His parents have been together for 50 years and going! When I met them I could only hope and pray that I could get that lucky to have the love that they obviously have for each other! Turns out they raised an amazing son who was looking for love not lust! It's almost our 20 years together and 17 years married! I found my true love with him and our kids won't have to live in a broken home! I hope we are setting high standards for our kids!

My parents have been married 48 years, my dad's parents were married 55 years, my kids Dad and I married out of college after being highschool sweethearts..he came from a broken home where his mom had been married three times...when the going got rough he found comfort in someone else...my husband now was adopted by loving parents and his ex wife left him for someone else as well...my two kids look up to him as daddy..he has been there through nights they were sick, sporting and school events, doctor appointments, etc. He's the man who didn't have to step up but he did it anyway.

When I met the girl that's now my wife she also came from a broken home. Me on the other hand grew up with both parents. She was always worried I would leave because of how crazy her life was at the time. Now here we are 20 years later with 2 beautiful children. And we love each other more with every passing year. My only wish is we get to grow very old together.

My parents are divorced and my boyfriends parents are still married. We’ve been dating for almost 2 and a half years and we look at love so different. He thinks love is effortless and lasts forever and is pure. However, I’ve seen how messy things can get. That it makes me feel like I have to work harder to keep what I have and it’s exhausting sometimes.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Love Triangle came out close to when my parents got divorced n I needed something n someone to relate to. I was in high school at the time and our stories aren’t the same but that song helped me a lot. Ever since then I’ve been scared of the exact same things this song ponders on. It beautiful to see that there are stories out there where it works out. Where flowers bloom in the cracks; where light comes from darkness. It’s just so reassuring that just because it didn’t work out for our parents doesn’t mean we’re doomed to the same fate. Just like the first time I heard Love Triangle, I’m crying listening to Broken One because I can so deeply relate to the fear of not being a good enough home for a future partner. RaeLynn, thank you for sharing a piece of your heart. It’s helping my heart know that stories don’t always have to repeat the one that came before it!💛

Hey RaeLynn, (and everyone else reading this) I can relate to this song so much, just like Love Triangle. My parents split up when I was 5, it wasn't going well before that. However I'm not going into detail here. I will share that at a young age this is not good for children. It makes it tough for them to connect and grow up properly. However, healing happens in time and there's good men and women out there. I'm sure you and your husband will be great parents for your daughter. I hope for that someday too. Anyway great song. God bless!

My parents have been married for 21 years. I’m 20. My husbands parents have been married for like 30 or more years. I still turn this on full blast and get teary eyed. I can feel the emotions and I’m so glad I never had to know. Both of my parents came from broken homes. They promised we’d never have to know, and now my baby will never have to know. ❤️

I didn't judge my husband coming from a broken home. He had an absent father. I refused to believe that meant he would become one himself. The stigma became him. He was horrible. He destroyed and devastated and demolished everything in my life. I wished I had listened to my parents and chosen a man with a similar upbringing. Glad it worked out for you though.

With a song gets you in your feels. This one got me. My kids are from a broken home. They have two homes they split their time between, but thank goodness they have never had to pick a side. Co parenting doesn't work for everyone, but I am proud to say that we have made it work. We didn't work out as husband and wife, but we do work out as co parents to our two kids. They know this, they know they are loved beyond measure, that they will always be the number one priority. We get along(probably better than we did when married), we can even do things together with the kids without any awkwardness. Sometimes a broken home is better than staying together when things aren't good. This one gets me though, it makes me wonder if this is how my kids will think about themselves one day. ❤️💔

Aw this song made me tear up. I remember when my parents got divorced. Seperated when i was 6 got back together when i was 12 and divorced when i was 14. At that time most of the kids my age and my friend's parents were together so it always made me feel embarrassed a bit. Despite that relatable feeling, i really do not like the phrase "broken home" Just bc my parents were not together does not mean my home was broken. I had a great home! Loving mom who worked hard to provide us with experiences. Yes i had the unfortunate experience of having to choose sides at times but calling my home broken is just not accurate. I know it just means that the parents are broken up. But that's all it should mean ..we shouldnt pass down that phrase to the offspring. No one should be going around in this world thinkinb they are less or not deserving happiness, love, and joy just because their parents didn't stay together. Although it makes me sad my parents split i am fully worthy of a great loving partner in this life and if a man judges you on that...women well that just shows his stupidity and poor character!

This really hits a sore spot. I grew up with separated parents, never once had they been in a room without arguing. I'd gone between them since I could remember. I hated sleepovers with my friends because they had both their parents and I always lived with jealousy at seeing families together. I've gotten over it now, but it does still hurt.
