I used to live here in the 70’s, my dad was a Flight Sergeant in the RAF. I remember loving seeing the Lightning planes going overhead.

Great video, Excellent info on the aircraft and the museum pieces, a great era for British aircraft, Buccaneers, Hunters, Jaguars , Lightnings and the Harriers.. I think all in service at the same time? a formidable line up, Best wishes Lads.

Thank you, Dave and Andy/Andrew and David, for this technically comprehensive insight of what you are sharing. Fascinating knowledge projected to lay 'persons' like me. I have even deeper respect for your prowess on the subject in question than before. Enough 'gushing'. Episode Two, please! All the best. Stay free. Rab 🍻 😎 🌠

My Brother was based there, with the Jaguars. I stayed at their married quarters for a two week holiday. Have tried to get a copy of the RAF News for around 1978 which did a centre page spread on Laarbruch, but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas on that please advise. My Brother's in his 70's now so I would like to get a copy for him. Thank you in advance.

Hello there, interesting memories for you then :) have you tried www.rafnews.co.uk/contact for information on the RAF News? They have a contact from and email addresses and a phone number to help you further in your search. Best of luck
