Sometime in the 80's,I landed a flexwing microlight on the airfield,when there was a flying school operating there on a small length of an original runway.

@@GrahamInnes1 On looking again at the aerial footage,unless I'm mistaken the earth satellite station that was on the airfield has also disappeared? Was very fortunate to have had a guided tour around the earth station and it's aerials-again,long time ago!

@@adienowed6366 the BT coms station is still there but i kept well clear as it can affect the drone. However, the BT site is just clear of the northerly taxiway and not within the boundary.

did you fly over the radars next to RAF Madley ?

No I never. They are telecoms dishes as opposed to radars

@@DRSEXPLORING no, BT moved in there quite a while after the RAF moved out. Not sure if its still BT in there.
