A thoroughly comprehensive and painstaking review of this historic war-time site. I really like your patient and real-time camera style as you film, few, if any jumps in editing, making it relaxing for the viewer and respectful to the buildings and legacy. It's as though you are taking us us along with you. Please keep to this format, even walking the road-sides and exploring natural surroundings as you investigate add critical interest to the experience. I'm quite amazed at what still remains, so many similar sites being demolished and lost taking their secrets for ever. You have captured them here on our behalf. I was interested in the hanger site with what looked like an American flag that was fenced off you didn't explore. Can you shed any light on this? Thank you for uploading.

Hi I appreciate that I'll be keeping to this format I want to document as much of the place and future sites as I can. As to your question the hangar area is a warehouse at the time of filming it was a Sunday and was closed I've read online that there is a mural to the airman inside the hangar that the staff have done to pay respect.

So much history and quite sad when one remembers all that happened on these old airfields and the dreadful losses. Has anyone been back to Elevedon Hall,the old HQ of the 3rd Bombardment Wing?

Nice little explore young people. Shame that so much has gone. Lovely wall art of the dance band til some idiot took a spray can to it. Pity the battle HQ was flooded but of all the ones I`ve seen on the tube here I think a maximum of 2 of them were dry. I`ll watch Folkingham next.

I have been visiting RAF Polebrook since the 1970's but there is no mention of Clark Gable being stationed here. Surely we need a blue plague saying Clark was here or took a dump here?

My father served at Polebrook Airfield from 1943 to the conclusion of the war in 1945. It's a shame that the music in this video makes the narration very hard to understand. Is there a need, really, for music at all?

@WorldWarMilitaria1942 seemed about when u was there .Big electric gate at the main entrance path.. only did the air raid shelters to the left .. I'm disabled .it was very wet and windy
