RAF Tatenhill derelict station 1995 revisited

Some pictures taken at Tatenhill back in 1995. Many of these buildings have now gone. There is one rather rare building which is the combined AML Bombing Teacher & Turret Trainer. This building looks to be still there on google maps (April2020). This was an attempt to save on materials and manpower. I cant remember seeing another one, although you will probs tell me different.

Love it. Used to be a mechanic here for about four years. The Squadron Office and Link Trainer buildings have been restored to full use. The former for the East Staffs Flying Club and the latter for a building company office.

Do you know, was the hangar part of the original hangar albeit removed from the other side of the main road? On the original plan there was a T2 hangar on the other side of the road. The hangar in my picture is only about half the size.

Graham Innes No chap, I was told by the boss that the current hangar “Was from Scotland” why this would be I do not know.
