Houllier was found out during the 03 season. He left behind a team no better than the one he inherited # Rafa Class act

I remember they said that this match got Benitez the job at Liverpool. How right they were, Valencia looked liked they could genuinely go all the way during that season. They knocked us out later too. Think they surprisingly lost to Inter in the QFs?

Valencia indeed battered Inter that 2nd leg, sadly Toldo was amazing. Valencia should've won the CL either in 2000, 2001 or 2003. Just that little bit of luck wasn't there for them...

Valencia were a force from 2000-2003. Passed most teams into defeat.

Houllier let Anelka go and brought in Diouf, he was done.

Fuck me, both of those goals were beautifully taken. Benitez knew what he was doing. Rafa the gaffer. It'll be a sad day when he departs this world.

What do you expect with Djimi Traore in the side. Houllier bought some absolute shite during his time. For every McAllister and Markus Babbel, there were three or four Diouf's or Diao's...
