Personally , I’ve watch almost every one of your podcasts on KZbin. I especially like when you have another KZbinr on or someone like Chris Edwards from Tennis Warehouse. And you gotta keep the year-end review podcast with Henrik!

Looking forward to the new Phantom 100 review! And I prefer audio podcasts as I only really listen to podcasts in the car or while I'm stringing. Really enjoying the podcast though! You are an excellent interviewer, hope you get access to some big names in the future!

It’s a beast! Easier to hit and getting used to the heavier head already. Gonna win my next tournament again using it! Tak tak

What about a podcast / video on racquets for people with elbow problems?
@Dasato1235 ай бұрын
I don’t remember you ever doing a review of the current Prince Phantom 107G. Kind of a bad oversight as it’s one of the rare “players” weighted true oversized rackets left on the market. Perhaps you could do a on court comparison between the new and current version.

I like Your Podcasts, Listen to them while driving or walking with my dog😊 However I find, that most people have an average max. attention span of approx. 45 minutes. Probably is a habit, we pick up in school, where the lessons last exactly that long😂 Maybe it is worth trying a slightly shorter format to see, if more people watch them… Still, I appreciate Your Service to the Tennis Community of ours, keep doing, what You are doing!

Hey, I have a question about tennis balls - do you think players should use balls of different colour than yellow? I tried following Monte Carlo, whenever there was sun shining and no shadow it was almost unwatchable, I couldn't see the ball quite often in rallies. My friends that don't follow tennis, when I showed it to them - they couldn't see the ball at all :) Using different colour for balls seems much more reasonable than changing colour of clay. I was curious if you also had issues while watching Monte Carlo.
@RonnieJamesOsbourne5 ай бұрын
I totally get what your saying, but, it's probably more associated with weather, venue or camera setup/quality than the tennis balls. If you (or anyone) can't track a "bright yellow" tennis ball, what other color do you feel will actually be better and brighter and easier to track? (And don't say white, cause that will be worse) This is where I feel if they were to master the color of clay, not only would it be aesthetically pleasing, but WAY easier to track the ball as well. It's a real shame the blue clay in Madrid didn't work out, as it was absolutely gorgeous-looking AND "very" easy to track the ball which made it a wonderful experience.
@truten345 ай бұрын
@@RonnieJamesOsbourne My immediate thought would be trying dark blue balls, same colour as clay in Madrid as you mention it. But yes, I agree it's more associated with weather, venue or camera setup/quality - I never have this problem watching Roland Garros for example.
@jakubjabonski93415 ай бұрын
Yeah it was difficult to watch the matches and see the ball clearly. I think it's got to do with the camera quality though.
@user-oj7co5wm8g5 ай бұрын
It’s incredibly easy to see the ball as it is now. Perfectly fine for the four clay tournaments two weeks ago and the multiple ones starting this week as well. MC just had incredibly poor production quality and shouldn’t be used as the rule when addressing anything tennis related and rather the exception. Their angle, filters, and compression ruined their own tournament for viewers to enjoy.
@Leo-nc3yx5 ай бұрын
@@user-oj7co5wm8g You're right completely, I was watching with the 65' inches cable and I can hardly see the ball... Monte-Carlo's resolution just sucks ass, at first I was blaming the TV, but then after watching the clips of Tennis TV on YT, which proves my TV's innocence... Of course, you can see the ball on a smaller device such as a cell or an IPAD, but when you transfer it to a larger screen it's basically the same. Monte-Carlo might be a good tournament when you visit it in person, or from the players or the tourists' POV, but as for a TV viewer who probably would never have the luxury to visit the place ,I have to say it's the worst 1000 tournament for TV viewers...

I thought the reason they don't use any electronic line calling system on clay is because the line is often covered with dirt, making the line call too inconsistent? Of course human lines people have the same problem on clay, so is it really that big of a disadvantage not using the electronic system in the long run?
@al1976-v7m5 ай бұрын
No that is not the reason, Hawkeye doesn't really "observe" the line, but calculates the ball's landing point from its flight trajectory through triangulation. This has a few mm's margin for error and because the mark is actual physical evidence that can be checked, they prefer it to Hawkeye. However, marks need to be checked by people and that's where it gets subjective again. Dirt on the lines is actually helpful for mark checking because the ball usually "cleans" the dirt away if it touches the line.
@prophetmargin74975 ай бұрын
@@al1976-v7m Good point, its actually triangulation through the flight trajectory of the ball that's used to determine whether a ball is in or not. Another problem with human linesmen is finding the correct mark on a clay court, how often do we see a player claiming the linesman or umpire is pointing at the wrong spot! Give me the Hawkeye system any day!
@al1976-v7m5 ай бұрын
@@prophetmargin7497 yeah i think staring at a line is not a very fun job anyway. However, i can already see players challenging Hawkeye calls when there's a clear mark there! ;)
@prophetmargin74975 ай бұрын
@@al1976-v7m But they can't really challenge, because the umpire cannot overturn a call Hawkeye makes. I know there is still a small margin of error with any electronic line calling system, but I'm sure its better than any human can claim. I'd think the real reason they still use humans to call lines on clay is for the drama it creates!
@al1976-v7m5 ай бұрын
@@prophetmargin7497 i think it's also partly due to sponsorships, the linesmen in Monte Carlo were all decked out in Replay gear... and for sure it's tennis traditionalists wanting to keep a human element to the game, which i can partly understand.
