I wish they would show tennis at this level. it gives you the best idea of how much angle and speed they are playing at.

+Jiraiya Sama They probably do. Maybe for the players to have game film on themselves for improvement or (and I don't know if its legal) but using game film on your opponent.

Could anybody tell if he is changing his forehand technique for the fast court? It seems to me he is not doing as many boogie whips as usual. Thanks!

+Abrh because it's not a hitting partner he has in match, it's a fucking Djokovic/Fed/wawrinka/you name it crushing super fast forehand to him... simple.
@adamdrake16399 жыл бұрын
+Syn het that's part of it, be he does hit significantly harder and is more aggressive in practice. I think he just has this mental block that makes him play much more reserved and defensive in his matches. Especially of late with his confidence issues.
@AtticussAtticuss8 жыл бұрын
+Abrh I think it's mostly the viewing angle. All shots look more powerful from this perspective, and it's hard to see how many Nadal is hitting long. Also, his partner is hitting is hitting the ball directly to him; that's not the way a real match goes. It's also easier in general to play aggressively in practice when there are no consequences from making a mistake.
@sportjunky43718 жыл бұрын
+Abrh Lol he does play that way. The TV angles trick millions of people into thinking tennis is not that hard.

I watch a ton of these practice videos and this seems ever-so-slightly sped up. Ironic considering the channel...
@txchou8 жыл бұрын
The video is definitely NOT sped up. I do notice that it seems faster from this angle. It might be that TV is slowed down?! But that would seem equally odd. I think it may be our perception because we're not used to seeing the ball come from this angle/direction. I can assure you 100% that (unless somehow the camera is doing something I'm unaware of) the video speed has not been altered in anyway. Also, we're using to watching regular people hit tennis balls. I'm stating the obvious but these aren't regular tennis players. Watch Uncle Toni, the trees in the background waving in the wind or the spectators - they seem to be moving at normal speed. I'm not a talented enough video editor to speed up just Rafa.
@boatempty8 жыл бұрын
I cannot agree. IMO this video is definitely not normal speed. At 1:03, Nadal rotated his racket it's too fast. I also watched a lot of court level view videos. This is faster!
