She's built up quite a reputation for double speak. Funny how she never mentions the fact that other European countries took far more slaves across the Atlantic than Britain ever did. Spain and Portugal were responsible for the transportation of over 7 million - Britain 2 million, France 2 million. Nor does she acknowledge that it was the actions of Britain and the British Navy that stopped it all and that 20,000 sailors lost their lives doing so. Nor does she bother to mention that the British established a homeland for the rescued slaves in a country called Sierra Leone.

This argument incidentally cedes ground to the chaos cultists. She would be the first one to want to turn and try to change the statue from the original or Floyd into MLK. The goal isn't living in a cohesive, amenable society. Her goal is to dominate you via any means she can. And shifting the statue away from something within British history to something of more modern American history is completely within her wheelhouse.

I'm a bit late to the show on this one; but I felt compelled to comment regardless of that fact. I've always appreciated when someone makes an intellectual argument versus an emotional one. Facts matter more than feelings when it comes to making informed decisions regarding what to do in a society - whether that be historical monuments or even the social side of things as well. I genuinely hate that our own problem spread to other nations. But it's also very refreshing - and always will be - when someone makes rational arguments about these things. Good on you, and thank you for speaking what many of us to believe is the truth. History should be preserved for the education of the present and the future.

“And yet you want to keep a statue of a slave trader” - no no as Rafe rightly states humanity has to preserve history as a reminder of how far we’ve come and still need to go and it was morally and legally incorrect for that decision to be made by a mob. I applaud the rational, measured, calm and balanced views of Rafe here very much. Don’t hope for Plato’s utopian republic, but be content with the smallest step forward.

I saw my generation growing up under that message and we didn’t sound anything like the older generation. Now all I hear in the media is that skin color matters and everyone is racist. It clearly evident from our children who can be heard calling one another a racist if even the slightest thing is said such as something as ridiculous as “It’s dark outside” the kids will joke, “What are you racist “. It's like I said earlier over here in America a slavery was ended in 1865 after the last fight in the Civil War where black people died as well fighting for the same cause and the reason we have that history is so that we do not repeat the same history and a lot of people don't look back far enough and realize if they did black people started the slave trade in the 1500s many years prior to the first slaves Landing in the Americas in the 1600s so if black lives matter wants to bitch about this one guy in slavery they need to go back to their roots to Africa when the slavery started by African tribes and slaving their own people and selling them to other people I mean people have Google they can look it up I mean am I wrong??

This is not the first debate I’ve watched Iman take part in, and I can’t believe how obnoxiously condescending and patronising she acts each time. Her rhetoric is extremely damaging to society, and she has no shame whatsoever, quite the contrary in fact; she’s proud of herself. She continually interrupts and insults you, and then raises her voice and tells you to “let her finish” to hammer home her ill conceived ideas. Then, she faces you right on, and in a dirty little attempt to derail you she smiles at you condescendingly while you speak. So utterly rude, aggressive, and appalling behaviour. You had more patience than she deserved, spoke eloquently, and dismantled her nonsense. Great job 👏
