Rafi Saab created a voice for each actor. But the Johny Walker one was very unique. I can remember one serious song that he did not use that voice and that was in film Chu Mantar, ghareeb jaanke humko na tum. It was a very well sung song and JW did justice to it in his acting.

Sir, Both the songs are of Jhony walker style singing and Rafi sahab has sung several songs like these. The greatness of Rafi sahab as per me was not only range, melody in love song, but creating the correct sentiments in the song which will touch the heart of listener. I heard his maximum songs when there was no TV and watching the film in theater was not allowed by parents and few opportunities were available. But his sentiments like patriotism, love, Bhajan, Qawwali, sadness were clearly transformed into listener. Naushad sahab used his range and used him for classical touch, Shankar Jaykishan used all his facets, Madan Mohan used him for very sensational songs and ghazals, O P Nayyar has used his excellent facets for light hearted and also serious songs with altogether different music, Ravi has given maximum freedom and exposure to singer with very beautiful tunes and less music, Chitragupt gave him the best melody. Even some small music directors like Ekbal Qurashi, Farooq Kaisar, C. Arjun, Lachhi Ram, etc also used all his qualities and produced the best songs. His voice was God gift and his versatility suiting any type of songs was his own efforts. Hence, we find him in many songs that he was superior to his female cosigners. However, music rapidly changed from melodious tunes to step and rap type songs after 1970. The music directors who were very melodious till 1970 also changed their music style. There was big shift in movies from family, love story to action type movie and hence very few good songs are noticed after 1970. However, many quote best songs of Rafi Sahab only after 1970 which is a sad part whereas his 100% songs before 1970 are the best.
