Thanks for sharing this fantastic speech, Rafique! I enjoyed how you "opened the doors of your heart and mind" to what would normally be considered a very mundane household object to which we clearly don't normally give much thought. Your delivery was confident, your gestures and vocal variety completely appropriate to the type of speech, and you kept the audience engaged throughout. It was great to see how you brought the speech to a conclusion by tracking back to the introduction and reminded us about how Ali Baba was able to open the door to a cave with just two words: "Open sesame". I really enjoyed everything about this. Thank you for sharing this with me and with the world. It gave me a good laugh and reminded me not to take life so seriously ... except doors. I'm going to have to watch out for them, to be sure.

This humorous speech DOORS was presented at the Toastmasters International District 42 Spring Convention in Calgary in 1988. The speech had already won awards at the Club, Area, and Division levels in Edmonton. All speeches at the convention were recorded on a video cassette but the cassette got lost, and recently found in a basement and was digitized. How can DOORS be so humorous and funny?
