RAFT Is A Perfectly Balanced Survival Game With No Exploits - Breaking the Shark With Infinite Items

Welcome to Raft Ladies and gentleman! A survival game that puts you the player on a floating raft in the ocean which is being chased by sharks! Now Raft is a great game however it limits your access to items and has you the player balance survival and progress in a complicated classical survival game fashion. However The Spiffing Brit never plays games the way developers intended and instead goes off the beaten path of Raft Being a perfectly balanced survival game with no exploits we will be breaking the game and breaking the shark with infinite items! Using this we can effectively break the game and make ourselves immortal and give us infinite items thanks to a simple item duplication exploit!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. I had put it in his exploit section on his discord that he could use nets for the second exploit much easier. They have a max stack of 5 and crafting 1 is easy, meaning you can pull off the exponential growth portion of the exploit within like 3 minutes of gameplay. Tho Idk if he ever saw my recommendation. I would presume not since he didn't use the nets for the exponential growth exploit.

@@MohamedSci exactly. Since the nets have a max stack of 5, but items like leaves, wood, and plastic are all 20, you can break the max stack of 5 of the nets almost immediately during gameplay. This allows what spiff demonstrated to be done even faster into the game. And after breaking the max stack, you just need to shift click the items into a chest and you'll have the exponential growth exploit.

To duplicate now you have to dump items into storage, save, take the items out of storage then quit with save, then reload the previous backup save. You end up with both the items in inventory AND in the storage.

To be fair, once you reach terminal velocity it makes sense that the damage caps out. You'd just expect that cap to be beyond survivable range. That being said, when you think about it some people have survived falls from great height - albeit with severe injuries. So it actually makes some measure of sense that it isn't lethal.

I saw a story years ago (which was probably fake, but I never investigated further) about a plane which suffered an explosive decompression at cruising altitude. If I’m being honest I’d love to see what you could build and do with those two exploits and all of the tech unlocked. Imagine a multistory raft reaching as high as that tower. Each level is massive and sustainable. Multiple farms, engines, sails, smelters, storage, you could build a floating city with infinite resource if you wanted. Then charge people with toll booths to go from level to level.

Funny we had the same idea. I didnt know how to duplicate but my first objective in this game has been to make a massive ramp. I found out that making the diagonal ramps is much easier that a straight up monolith, and it's also easier to climb. The final thing was the first thing that gave me vertigo in a video game. Amazing.
