Thanks for the sneak peak! I scored a permit this year, it's our first time on Deso. Super excited, and also working on bug strategy :)

Mosquito problems are not usual. The conditions that create them are an extreme high water in the spring that floods over the banks to create the sometimes ponds behind the banks, Mosquitos love those temporary ponds. The couple of weeks after high water, misery. But high day time temps end the mosquito season in just a few days. Hell Roarers Canyon down stream from Green River Utah? Great name? Named for either the roar of mosquitos or the people fleeing from them. Couple miles down at Mineral Bottom? Often not a one. DEET spray a band across from elbow to elbow over your shoulders and an extra spritz at the back of your head.

I want to thank you. Done it several times,, hope to do it several more. Your video was excellent. It captured what few videos do,, the awe, the peace, the tranquility. And an apparent right hand run at Wire Fence surprised me.

Not yet. Caving is still the focus, but started thinking that since I have more than 2 hobbies that I should keep this second YT channel to capture everything non-caving related. Hope you're well Wanderer. Let me know if you decide to bike pack the CT and need company or support.
