AARSHIN KARANDE, senior disciple of Mewati Gharana luminary SANDEEP RANADE "NAADRANG," offers a rendition of Raga Darbari Kanada on the occasion of Ustad Faiyaz Khansaheb's birthday (February 8th). This bandish was popularized by Khansaheb.
Raga Darbari Kanada - a compound of raga-angas Kanada and Malhar created by Miyan Tansen - brings out the excitement and anticipation of this bandish. Authored by Miyan Sadarang - a descendant of Miyan Tansen - this bandish details the preparations for a grand celebration.
This raga and bandish are presented humbly as an offering to the extraordinary genius of Ustad Faiyaz Khansaheb.

मालनिया बंधनवा (रे) । बांधो रे बांधो सब मिल के ।
सदारंगिले मोहम्मद शाह घर काज ।१।
सदारंगिली तानन सो बधावो गावो, माई री,
सुख सायत सो आज ।२।
TRANSLATION:
The speaker describes the preparation of garlands for a soiree by Mohammed Shah Rangile, for whom the speaker sings auspices.
