Raga Malaya Marutam on Esraj

One week ago my Esraj arrived build by Monoj Kumar Sardar & Bros. I already played the small Esraj for about two months. So I am rather new to the Esraj but I played the cello little over a year now. The Esraj was knocking on the door of my heart for many years. You’re one of my inspirators. Thank you for that. Out of love for resonance many instruments from old cultures have come into my life. Both wind and string instruments. Besides that I build many different flutes from bamboo including the shakuhachi, bansuri, ney etc. I love to combine these ancient instruments with modern electronic synths. Soundscapes. Grateful to have found you on social media. 🙏🏻🕉

May I ask you what kind of bow you are using? Personally I am experimenting with the regular Esraj bow which came with the Esraj and my cello bow and a 3/4 double bass bow. Last one has fullest tone but a bit heavy.

I use Esraj bow. This is special high quality bow. When l lived in Kolkata in West Bengal, I ordered to Mondal music store in Kolkata. Best regards.
