When you talk about a janya raga, you should first give information on its parent raga, swaras, arohanam and avarohanam, vadi and samvadi, and embellishments.

I totally agree with you. Most ragas are byproducts their parent ragas. Our ignorant generation of today are influenced by crash music courses that they've become reluctant to delve into the depths of pure music.
