90s mosh pits were different. It looked violent. But most of the time, everyone was super careful. I got knocked down at a show once by some rude guys. The pit formed a circle around me to make sure I didn't get stepped on; and they perp walked the rude guys out of the pit

Zack's shirt seems to hearken back to the suburban punks of the late '70s. Not all punks wore leather jackets with safety pins and bandanas. Wear that shirt to school, cut out at lunch and go skate ... punk show later that night, same shirt.

Bruh. I caught Rage at their peak popularity in '95, and the whole fucken stadium were jumping up and down as one. It's the craziest thing - like, at that point your not bashing around and getting beaten up, you're swept along in an ocean of 10,000 people jamming as one. Everyone is safe, you kinda grab the shirt of the person in front of you, and the person behind grabs yours (don't wear nice clothes!) and the combined energy of the crowd and the band just cause this throbbing tidal wave of humanity. You just can't describe the feeling (better than sex?). Of course, these days it'd just be a bunch of people holding their phones up and bobbing a bit, so you're probably good bro. Watching this gave me mad goosebumps.

I was there.. unforgettable concert. This was still early in the afternoon because they were so new at the time. They were not headlining yet. But they managed too get that crows of about 50 thousand people jumping like crazy. I laughed at your comment about the ticket prices nowadays. I went to this Pinkpop festival, paying 50 dutch guilders (which was about 25 US dollars back then) for the ticket and saw RATM, Lenny Kravitz, the Black Crowes, Living Colour, and some other bands. I remember I thought at the time it was a lot of money. Inflation is crazy.. Well worth it for sure.

Back then, ticket prices weren't that expensive because they actually earned most of their money from music sales. Now, streaming and illegal downloading makes it harder for artists to get their pay, so concert tickets need to be more expensive.
