For spell towers they have the best value when they are covering high dps fast hitting targets like archer towers (especially the geared one), xbows, town hall weapons, and multi infernos.This is because the things that tend to hit harder tend to hit slower so they spend more time switching inbetween units after they kill something but for the fast hitting defenses like the ones listed the rage makes them kill things faster and they can also switch to the next unit fast enough to make use of the rage well
