Work podium will make it so you don't have to carry them. Also if you make a 7x3 with shipping containers you can place breeding station on it, remove containers and make another right underneath. Really saves room, you can do the same with farm with a 5x2 and can go up to 5 high

Just so everyone is aware Philanthropist DOES increase the chance of gaining the same passives by 15% so instead of 1/10 getting the same trait it would be 1/9 this isn't stated on the wiki but IS in the game files and it will allow you to breed 2x as quick out balancing the downside of getting philanthropist as one of your traits.

@sephirian688 I mean it is. Statistical choosing am inferior dark pal or giving a non dark pal nocturnal is ignoring the best statistics. Of the convince of not using a bed. They literally function the exact same when using a bed. The only reason you'd ignore that is your own personal preference to not use the bed. Despite it being the optimal choice for production and visibility in game.

Had my mount with runner, swift, and infinite stamina i spent hours on hours breeding and catching the same pal so i could get one with nimble and try to get that in the mix but kept getting the exact same pal with the runner, swift and infinite stamina with some random common passive, needed this video

I cannot believe you guys didn't mention this but philanthropist is absolutely op when it comes to getting skills you want. I know it says I only speeds up breeding but it also seems to increase you chances of getting the skills you want transferred dramatically! I honestly don't know to what extent but I HIGHLY recommend you guys investigate this skill to verify.

@@reignreigngoaway1675 Please don't spread untested misinformation first of all it increases the chances of passing on other traits by 15% which isn't stated anywhere but is easily testable which i have done on 1x rates and 3x rates, second while yes it can pass on philanthropist which takes up a trait slot it can still be used to pass on and breed for 3/4 in which case you can trade another pal out at that time and with a 100% aka 2x boost to the breeding and egg laying time this WILL make the time it takes to breed a perfect pal WAY WAY shorter example of this when i breed for a perfect stat Jetraggon one took me 38hrs while the one i used philanthropist took me 21hrs

Legend is one that can't be passed with Yakumo, theres a list you can google of what they can.

I just want to make sure im right in my understanding: you want to get perfect parents for a pal before breeding for the pal you want. so like you want to get like 2 perks on 1 and 2 on the other, and then breed that. but to get the perks on the parent pals, you also need to breed to try and get a good perk roll on that correct? So when or what pals would you want to get to start making parents/ do you just want to randomly catch parents with random stats or breed for parents? (i hope my wording made sense)

To get a good start (if you're trying to go for perfection) you want to catch the base pals you want with the traits you want. The easiest way is using a breeding calculator. If you don't care about perfection then you can use the calculator to see what you need and just use any of the pals listed

As mentioned, a good starting point is spam catching things you need/know will be breed-able (through breeding calculators,) to the pal you need, until you get the desired traits. Yakumo speeds this process up, but it's doable without. Once you get the traits, then you should start breeding, as spending cakes on gambling traits is way more costly than spheres. There are some pals like xenolord where you don't really have a choice. If you want Iv's as well, you can do the method in the video for leaving and returning, combo'd with yakumo, to find a pal with good IVs, then gamble catch to apply traits to the good IV pal. For example; say you find a 95 hp/100 atk/98 def pal in the wild. You pull out your yakumo with say, demongod+serenity on it. Catch the pal and it only hits demon god. Sucks, but still ok, as you can now just go fish for one with serenity on it, then breed the serenity pal with the demongod good IV pal to pass down those IVs + the 2 traits. IVs can take a long time for breeding, and as mentioned, it can be more efficient to just grind out coins rather than spend cake on IVs.

@@MrJustn Yea, I personally have a yakumo with serenity/demongod, one with artisan/remarkable, another with nocturnal/workslave, etc. I just did this while I was in the process of breeding and catching looking for the new traits to speed it up, it could be more efficient earlier on to get 4 traits on 1 yakumo (all dmg or all base related 2 dif yakumos.) Since spending more time breeding 4 or more yakumo's is wasting cake in the early game realistically. But imo having 4 on 1 yakumo makes it harder to get the traits you want (just feels no real evidence.) My idea is that getting 1 trait to pass down from yakumo is easy. 2 isn't too bad, and if you only get 1, you just catch a few more to get the second. But if you want to pass 4 from 1 yakumo, you will be there awhile hopin for a 4 trait pass, 3trait pass + 1 out of 4 for the one you're missing. Seems just harder, but feel free to try what you want. 2 trait yakumo's also allow for more flexibility between pals if you want to swap things like nocturnal for serious on a dark pal. Or things like impatient for more CDR on some pals, but not on others. End of the day, it's all just time vs resource yaknow. You can spend more resource to save time, assuming you have the resources available. Spending the resource on 1 yakumo that ends up spreading his traits to 10-15 pals saves a lot long term, but hurts short term, if that makes sense. Didn't meant for this to turn into an essay...

Gobfin can be a good start. You'll have to catch hundreds of them to max out you dmg boost. So you should get few of them with a single good skill. Also Pal that don't have any traits are super useful for crossbreeding. Besides it's just pure rng.

any pals as long as there is one male and one female also i noticed in my testing your more likely to get the gender of the pal with the same trait as the previous so an example is your more likely to get a female trait if the mom has those traits.

If you mean signature, like divine dragon, you can still breed those down, if you mean moves like their attacks, exclusives are exclusive, but some stuff got turned into skill fruits like the lylee boss's move multi cutter, which is 3 razor leafs instead of 1

Regarding building vertical, I read where Pal pathing only goes up to two floors as well as each floor needing their own ramp/stair case to it. Has this been updated/accurate? I have a skill tree at the third floor of my base and just carried Penking up their myself. Fact check?? :)

I have a 2 floor base with a "gallery" on the 2nd: a row of 10 stairs, each 2 stairs high. This gallery is a 3x10 room without ceiling and contains all the beds for my pals. Technically it is a 3rd floor, but it is not over the 1st and 2nd floor. It sits on a mountain, which I have integrated in my base layout. My pals have no probs to access their beds.

Just a friendly reminder that nocturnal is next to useless so long as you have a bed. This is just a reminder that that is a nifty feature. You see, at night, it gets dark and hard to see, so you can avoid that with a bed. Also, night lasts around 1/5th the time of day, and it seems awfully inefficient to remove a good pass on a pal for something so very easily avoided or worse yet removing an arguably superior pal for an inferior dark pal.

You do realize that, mathematically, it’s still better right? Yes you can “skip” the night cycle with a bed but the cycle still takes place in the game world and your dark/nocturnal/vamp pals will continue to work during this allotted time. Due to this, Splaterina is better than Anubis. Idk if you’re a leftover hater from the DS Lily stuff or if you just have a stick up your bum, but if you’re going to be a hater…at least be right.

Hey man, vampiric is better, but, if you are making new work pals, they have remarkable craftsmanship, work slave, and artisan, that's 155%, previously the ceiling was 110% without condensing, adding the 20% from serious is negligible after already gaining a 45% increase

@ocarinafrek not talking about passive skills but the nocturnal trait in general. When you go into the stand, nocturnal, vampiric, and dark type says nocturnal. Notice at the end that I also said removing a superior pal for a dark type. I don't really care where it got the nocturnal trait from. Just that it being nocturnal should not be a priority over efficiency in other areas. Second, yeah, it's hardly a decrease. But it makes no sense to take that loss on something entirely avoidable. It's just not enjoyable to play at night anyway. On the rare occasion you do need to play at night, It's 1/5 the time. If we are talking the truly most efficiency set up. Nocturnal just isn't in the cards. Unless your playing on a large multi-player game where it is feasibly impossible to expect everyone to sleep. But for a small multi-player game like 2 or 3 that's doable and for single players, which I feel most of us are(maybe I'm wrong), it's very doable.

By the time people usually get around to focusing on breeding they've done everything else (which is why the good incubator being at level 60 is silly). The base hatch time for a huge egg is 72 hours by default. Even with constantly perfect temperature that's 36 hours of waiting. That's insane. Personally, I just lower it to 2 hours and do other things while I wait, but I can understand people not wanting to wait for what is generally just an end-game RNG slot machine.

The hatch time reduction is just stopping you wasting your life waiting. Doesn't change the difficulty of the game, just how much of your limited game time wasted on nothing.

I just got the game and I changed my settings so that a Large egg takes 30 minutes. (15 if 100%) I'm a OG Ark veteran with 4000+ hours.. I've waited for eggs to hatch and babies to grow long enough in my life to know I don't want them to basically be a separate job. 😅
