I really feel like they dropped the ball on Acolyte of Chayula. They had a chance to craft a fantasy of what a dark, or corrupted Monk would be but instead chose a self sufficient boring ascendant. They could have poured into chaos heavily with demonic abilities or even summon, life leeching almost like a vampiric class of sorts. Like really elevating the idea of a “dark avatar”. There’s no drive for any of us monk players to play that ascendancy when invoker is dramatically better.

For my fellow Chronomancers that want to have a casting build and be more tanky AND can be used with EVERY elemental damage type get the following skills - Mind over matter - Eldritch Battery These two will make your mana and life bar both become your health bar. Once you get low on mana or life then use -Footprints in the sand This abiity will reset your health and mana to what it was 4 seconds ago - and it moves you back. If you were beat up even worse 4 seconds ago use BOTH life and mana flask to get an insane amount of health back. Optrional recommended after those: - Ether Flow to offset the -50% mana regen -Arcane intensity You do not need life so stack all the stats on mana which this passive will transfer into damage -Adverse growth will regen 20% of damage taking back into mana which is equal to live and thus this is a 20% damage reduction + when going back in time after taking big damage it will improve your mana regen for a few sec These passive are defensively focused you still need to incoporate your elemental damage type of your choice! (I'm lvl 59 and die barely ever with lvl 20 key and -30% resistances)

They probably have stuff in the backend to monitor what classes are over performing and what skills those classes are using so not sure if a video would be the cause of a nerf. Might speed the nerf up a bit but either way it will get nerfed eventually. Also I think people forget this is early access not full release so don’t invest in something you know is over tuned or glitched because it will likely be patched quickly once it’s found.

I don’t even have pathfinder unlocked yet and Poison ranger is still really fun. Once you get gas arrow you’re set. I wasn’t even sure if I was gonna run it until I realized it triggers poison growth (gas states that it doesn’t hit so I didn’t think it would work but the pustules just care about poison not hit). Fire growth, fire gas, growths explode for great damage. Can even get a second growth off that basically explodes the second it lands before your first gas cloud dissipates. I’ve been running pin on the growth to trap mobs inside but looking for a better support.

I been running poison as well, and it's been pretty sweet. Think my only complaint is when you join a full party of 6 people to do harder stuff if anyone uses any fire it sets off all your clouds which is annoying, and poison seems do drop off hard when enemies are scaled up to 6 people groups.

If you play infernalist minions and find your build lacking, look up Ventrua's build. Im running T15 Maps with 10 K es and gear that is worth not that much and could be upgraded a LOT. Highly recommended

@@growersplus Gas arrow from Snipers is very strong in early leveling but once you can sustain 4-5 Arsonists, they outdamage them by a lot and are easy to support with curses/SRS

Im really enjoying Lightning Witchunter where you use shockburst rounds for boss dps and yhe unique electrocute gloves to make specking into electrocute nodes worth it because i personally hate grenades

So, it really seems that "COVER THE SCREEN WITH FIRE BLASTS" seems to be the meta for now... Not gonna lie, using Witch Chaos and Bone spells felt a tad underwhelming, compared to just shooting poison/corrosion arrows and letting the Skelly Arsonists blow up the whole screen....

Bloodmage is so broken. The leech doesnt do anything if you have overcapped life. Blood Magic interaction doesn't even work like it does in poe 1, where it just removes the mana cost and leaves the life cost the same. in poe 2 it doubles the life cost xD

Early access should mean early beta testing for all the different type of builds. It absolutely sucks that i can't just swap builds entirely if i get bored or want to test new interesting interactions. It's almost easier to just make a new character and level them up then swap builds. And there's no load outs either so you can't really hot swap so making a second character already seems favored. It honestly feels shitty to do this tho.

blood mage has been working great for me. always at max hp and one shotting entire packs. every boss in the campaign has been super easy. i think the life cost is equal to the base mana cost, not scaled.

@@seargent1393 i picked witch because it has access to generic spell damage, and spell damage is based on gem levels instead of weapons, so i didnt have to rely heavily on gear. my first wand had chaos damage so i built around that. im using hexblast with a totem applying wither on bosses and blasphemy applying despair. worked out well as you can get spell damage, chaos damage, cast speed and level of gems on each weapon, and double dip on generic spell damage plus chaos damage on the tree

The balance between skills is important. But I'm worried that GGG seems to be paying too much attention only to OP builds or Nerf of skills. In EA's version of POE2, competitive skills and builds are very limited. Most of the skills had boring mechanics and designs. Even these skills are not fun and weak in power. I respect GGG, but I hope GGG also cares about skills or builds that aren't competitive and aren't fun.

Just going to put this here. I'm almost lvl 27 and have no intention to ascend. The new trail is content that I HATED in PoE. I completely skipped that season because of it. They need to go back to the maze they had in PoE. That was atlest enjoyable content.

@jinks_hates_things Very true, but in this case most player and user reviews are positive, it's also held a very high number of concurrent players which usually means people are enjoying it, people are complaining about the nerfs but did people really think spitting out 200+ frozen orbs and 100 comets in the space of 10 seconds was intended 😂 just a personal opinion but the game has definitely met many people's high expectations
