It may be for Josh trough. Sure the reaper is more agresive and the crabsquids are freaky but they can't really your sense of safety like the warpers do. Also everything else dies to the grapling hook drill combo.

Fun fact: The vertical "sleeping" crabsnakes are the result of a common bug caused when a crabsnake thinks it's inside a jellyshroom, but in reality they're not. Sooo about the teleporting squids Note slight spoiler... Earlier you get a signal on the radio saying that something was sending the location of various entities to other creatures to hunt them down. Well the teleporting squids are the hunters. The aliens that inhabited this planet created these creatures as a means of taking out infected creatures in other words you. And yes they can teleport things other than themselves. This means these creatures have the ability to pull you out of a vehicle.

While you are correct about them being bio weapons, I seem to remember the lore stating that they aren't even alive. Their flesh is just kept from decaying by machinery inside of it. I could be wrong though it's been awhile since I have read the logs on the warper.

The moonpool can recharge your Seamoth and Prawn suit! Not the Cyclops though. Keep some extra power cells around and get that power saving module for the Cyclops. (Also, how have they not come across a Big Red ONCE??)

Besides, if you are aiming to progress the story, then you'll have to go down. You have no other option but to go down & progress. Just stay out of the dead zone [an area of an infinite, dark open space that's bottomless but also home to leviathans of all kinds]. (Sidenote: get rid of your normal blade. Its useless compared to the thermal) 2. What you're seeing warping in & out of space is an alien. They are known as warpers. They won't warp into the seamoth but they'll warp you out of it & eat you alive because you are infected. If you're not infected then you'll be safe.
