@@blazenfate handler teleported to your side during cutscenes and saying "we did it, pard!" after being at camp the entire time. i actually liked her being out and about in the deviljho quest though once again she was in danger like every other time we get handler cutscenes. Alma can be seeing doing stuff during the entire hunt, like dropping off supplies to our bird. I don't consider the handler to be bad, rather her implementation wasn't that good. woulda been nice to have her pop up around the maps looking for foodstuffs and maybe even give us stuff she finds like honey and bugs to lean into her love of food and also incentivize us talking to her to create a positive association. or heck let us give her stuff for her to try for research points ah well, what's done is done

I love how the raptors have the upgraded jagras/wolg behavior of they mod monsters even if they're not down. Then you have the leviathans in the forest that are said to opportunistically anything they think it weakened or wounded but otherwise will watch and wait. The more unique behaviors amongst monsters, large and small, the better. Their love for the ecology is shining through so nicely.

They definitely won't do just 3 zones looking at past games. I think 4 maybe a 5th in high rank like world did. Then we'll ofc get a 6th in dlc. we haven't seen those ruins yet from the kut ku area so I'm thinking that's next.

The clock on the right is the hunt timer during the Congalala fight and does say Congalala. The fish that gets fished up is a regular Gastronome Tuna, which always took extra effort to fish up, they just changed the minigame from button mashing to an actual minigame.

The Palico playing a little prank on the hunter at 25:27 is an example of why I love the personality they gave our palico this time around. I’m going to keep the voice on the entire time. Another good example is when the palico hits the quematrice on the head with the hammer, or at base camp when they are doing the spinning bludgeon next to the buff white palico who looks all serious.

@4:22 the valley we run through to change locales is actually an open world gamedev trick that allows one area to unload and the next area to load in, thats why its narrow and is fairly long, to give the next area enough time to fully load up.

lmao dosha is our new banbaro! Yeah I love how this bird blurs the line between raptor bird wyvern and brute wyvern, being just slightly leaning brute wyvern. Him being the smallest one is also awesome. You'd think hte bug eater would be the smallest but nope. I'd guess he's like pukei/tobi level in World. He may be just above or with kut ku. Obviously his fire weapons will offer different stuff so there's an argument to use them over kut ku. I can't imagine any of htem being as silly though. We also got them officially naming those little raptors so that's nice. They did say the small leviathans are opportunistic. They will ignore you unless you are low health and may attack wounded monsters or ones that took a certain amount of damage in the zone. I like the scarlet forest but it being very maze like, pathy, might mean no duramboros as he won't have his bigger zones with trees to knock over. If this deconfirms him I will be sad. I was unaware the dragon balls were nearby a few years ago. I guess my phrasing lead to a delay but yay deep water will actually matter in Wilds. This won't be like World where there's a skill for it but it's only for the 2 weak fish. Arzeros was his roommate but somehow congalala got him evicted.

I would recommend you watch the stream from Jonno's perspective as well. They gave a lot of insight on what was happening through this as well. Like at 17:46, the blue numbers represent an armor system for some monsters that once damaged enough can change the fight. Or that in the Lala barina nest, he mentioned that some monster bodies will stay and leave behind bone piles for future hunts. Lots of interesting little tidbits. Also Seikrets are confirmed to have customization.

THe flourettes they were demonstrating how they work... you can actually run into them without paralysis but if you run into several in a short time it will trigger paralysis. In the demo he runs into one and then the second one in quick succession lol

I wonder how the Sekret customization will go. Will it be like Wilds where you search for them or will it be like changing your palicos armor. I would like a MH Stories scenario that has you searching for eggs in the wild and find rare ones even. Also this game really is leaning on the brute, bulky monster aesthetic. I know our spider queen isnt but pretty much everything is just smash your face in and run you over style haha. And great to get the Congalala confirmation! I love they are bringing back more classic monsters so new hunters can experience them and the vets can revisit classic fights. I cant wait to see what else gets added!

Are the PC requirements really that bad? I've seen people complain about them quite a bit, but a friend says it's just cope from those that have to get new graphic cards.

It pretty much is. They don't differ too much from other triple A games, the recommended says that you should have a GPU ranging from the 2070 super to the 4060. That basically just means any modern high power card can do it, they just drew conclusions the second they saw the 4060. I actually thought the requirements were pretty reasonable, I think people just don't understand anything that's a 2070 super or bigger meets the recommended, meaning most gaming PCs can run it by default. They just saw the 4060 part and freaked out

​​@@Raptors-mk7dv, that's straight up lie, cos the thing, that scares many (me included) - you need frame generation technology being up on the good card (recommended for PC a lil higher, that what PS5 could do; think about how it will play there) in order to get 60 fps on medium-high (not even all high or ultra) settings. Whereas frame generation need at least 60 fps raw in order to not create input lag and deceitful frames. This technology is for enhancing fluidity for bigger frequency monitors, and not for compensation for the lack of "basic" frames. And this screams "bad optimisation". If anything, Dragon's Dogma 2 showed how RE Engine struggles with open-world realms. And here we are, looking at first time full-on seamless MH game. New PC gear is not cheap, mind you, especially if we're talking countries of the 2nd and 3rd worlds. And shown specs for now saying "you must do even better, than recommended, cos recommended are struggling".

The problem isn’t the requirements, it’s the fact that the requirements will only get you medium settings frame generation 1080 60fps, which I have never seen any other game aim for 60 using frame generation on reasonably powerful hardware
