Can confirm that mantis can be scary as a full sized person despite how crazy afraid they are of me. Being a tiny human within bite sized reach of a mantis is most likely the single most terrifying fate to ever occur.

Tips of the day. Tip#1 You should always carry around elemental weapons so you can deal with enimes easier. Tip#2 In the upper yard near the rocks, there is a blue bottle cap with a hole under it that you can go in. Tip#3 In the mutations tab, you will see a few letters under the word mutations. Those letters are sections where you can select different mutations to go together like for fights, building, running around the map, and/or a buld for certain weapons. These sections can be accessed via selector wheel py pressing a button (check settings to see what button). Tip#4 There are 5 types of DOT damage. One is poison (which Mithridatism makes no as effective). Then there is venom (mostly used by tier 3 bugs and 2 bosses, and an antidote can be crafted, but you need to kill some more bugs to find that recipe. Then there is Stink damage (mostly used by stink bugs, can also be shot by an arrow to create a stink cloud around an enemy). Next there is "Broodmother Venom" (only produced when wearing full Broodmother armor set). Finally there is Bleed damage. This damage is only used by Wasps and the Orchid Mantis. Daggers have this damage as a mutation after killing lots of bugs with a dagger. The Salt Morningstar also causes bleeding damage on an enemy when you hit them with the third hit in its 3 hit combo (it's called finally bleed).

A mantid the size is a small dog would likely be able to take a human down. They are one of the most horrifying bugs to scale up in size, but I'd love to see a horror short about that.

0:55 This image is absolutely sending me! I don't know why but Im just bawling with laughter XD So out of curiosity I went to a wiki to see how much of a multiplier that yoked blows gives... On your Scythe of Blossoms it's a 100% increase to crit dmg, added that the Mantis armor gives crit chain and a bleed effect to enemies, its just straight dmg and seems super impressive.

Also, if you want to do critical hits, you need to get a mutation that unlocks when you find the shamrock and roll 20 on the d20. The shamrock is located in an underground cave in the marsh near the hedge, on the far left edge and under a leaf. The d20 is on the picnic table.

I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but the model in the game much more closely resembles the male orchid mantis, which matches the size in the game. If they did the female version, it would need to be 2-3 times larger.

Cotton really carried that boss fight. Mvp of the episode. I arrived at fighting her today too and not gona lye...man they nerfed her so much. I beated her on my first try with the wrong set of mutation on. I remember last year it took me an hour to beat it. If this was pre nerf mantid it would have made you realize that you were early into fighting her. Next time should finally be the undershed. Fire ant nest is also a possibility but its just to upgrade stuff. After that i dont know wich should be done first between wasp or castle mordoc(only duable after the undershed).

The fire ant nest is FULL of upgrade resources. Might want to stock up on beefy muscle sprout base smoothies for the extra healing though. If you want to go the extra mile for horde fights, a full set of black widow armour is the best option bar none

The main mechanic the mantis has is it inflicts bleed damage so you bleed over time , thats the main issue with taking hits 😅 its like the moth but well done 2 down and my second favourite boss weapon unlocked 😁

To fill you guys in there are like 3 story bosses and 4 Summonable bosses you have already seen one of the story bosses the assistant manager, and 2 summonable bosses brood-mother, and the mantis which you learned about this video and there are I think 4 mini bosses which are ones you already fought the termite king, the infected wolf spider, the infected ladybug, the black widow So you only have a couple bosses to go and sorry if this seems like a spoiler to you Josh or cotton I just wanted to make sure you don’t accidentally miss out on some of the content in the game without spoiling where and what those remaining bosses are

Yoked blows is crits do more damage the entire set is mostly crit based with apex predator making u attack faster the longer u attack without stoping making if u get in a long combo with high crit chance super op
