about renji's bankai. It was foreshadowed since soul society arc. Lemme remind you: -after achieving bankai, a regular shinigami (like renji) should take almost 10 years to master it (mind you there are 2years between soul society arc and TYBW) -Byakuya told renji during their fight in soul society arc that renji is not ready to use bankai And the most important foreshadowing is regarding the name. If you remember, ymichika ( ikkaku's friend) doesnt call his zanpakuto by its true name in order to conceal the real abilities of it (arrancar arc) NOW, renji's zanpakuto is a monkey-snake chimera. His 1st bankai was Hihio zabimaru ( hihio means baboon king), but what about the snake? that's why the Osho said "it's half of his name". Now his real bankai is Soo Zabimaru ( soo means two kings)

Also, with the reveal last season in the “The Blade Is Me” that a Zanpakuto is one with their wielder, Zabimaru not telling Renji his true name and not recognizing Renji really means that Renji did not recognize himself, because of his self-doubt and regrets. But now Renji has accepted himself and past failures, which is why he proudly refers to himself as “a villain” and a coward in this fight.

Remember during the arrancar arc when Yumichika only said half of his shikai name and his blade transformed partially due to him not wanting kenpachi and ikkaku to know his sword is a Kido type? This is the same thing just that Zabimaru didn't give renji the full bankai name so what we've been seeing all along throughout the series was half of renjis bankai

If you remember in the "Soul society arc" when Ichigo and Renji are training to achieve bankai, you can see that Zabimaru spirit was an ape with a snake as a tail (so basically a chimera). And if you have an eye for details you can clearly see that the Bankai Renji used the whole time only the snake was present, not the ape. 🤣

Renji's Bankai is pronounced "So-Oh Zabimaru." and spelled Sōō Zabimaru. It roughly means Snake Fang Iron Gun. Or the Sōō on its own can mean "Two kings". "Hihio" meant bamboo king. That's why it was only half the name.

To clear up the confusion about what Ichibei said to renji, yes Oetsu was the one who created the Zanpakuto but it was Ichibei who named them. Thats what he meant by he named every phenomenon that has occured in the soul society. So every shikai, bankai, technique name, all of it. He named everything

Rose's Bankai is basically an audio genjustsu. As long as people listen to his tunes, their heart can't help but be captivated and they'll be injured by whatever element that specific tune is associated with. It's basically a placebo effect, the body will react to whatever the brain thinks is real. And Rose's final music basically means "A Hero's Life". We don't know exactly what it does, but we can guess that, if Rose didn't babble and reveal that the music was doing it all, Mask probably would have suffered a heart attack and died right there. With James dead as well, Rose almost solo'ed Mask, but he fell in the Vizard curse of being too cocky and revealing his powers.

If you think about ti, during the arc when the Zanpacto spirits came out, Renji's Zanpacto were 2 a snake and a monkey basically, but when he goes Bankai only the snake is represented.

Ichibe was saying that he NAMED everything that occurs in the Soul Society. Ichibe came up with the name Zanpakuto, Shikai, and Bankai, as he mentioned. Basically, Nimaiya is the creator of Zankaputo, and Ichibe is the creator of NAMES.
