Barry, You are so right, as a young whipper snapper we have little fear and the potential of a long life. Now that we are oldies but goodies we don't spin fast like a 45, we ease through the moment like our favorite album. A little dusty tattered at the edges with a scratch here or there. But well loved all the same. Always good to hear from you and your adventures. Peace EZL Wis

First, thanks for looking for and telling others about the green flash. They are great. When your hat blew overboard, I hoped you'd immediately call a drill as if someone fell overboard, turn around and see if you couldn't sail past the same spot and snag it. If there was any foam in it it should still be floating. I knew odds weren't great for recovering it, but it would do wonders for your sailing confidence if you did.

Hello Mate .. Nice new Ball Cap, good color and an especially nicely shaped brim .. a stiff breeze and a "Duck Bill" cap, my favorite for long rays of sun, is almost always lost to the first errant puff of wind from an unexpected direction .. you seem to be getting around well considering your troubles with your leg .. I hope that it's improving .. Stay well Captain and have a Happy Easter, where ever you may be.. looking forward to the next episode.

FYI, you can get emu meat commercially available. probably not from your local supermarket (although you'll usually find kangaroo there), but there are specialist butchers where you can. often they'll also have things like venison, croc, camel, rabbit. If your on good terms with your butcher they may be able to order it in specially, or point you in the right direction.

I know of a harbor on the coast of California very similar to that one. Very narrow and shallow. A friend described it well enough for me to be want to check it out on Google , and wow its narrow. I believe its called Santa Cruz harbor in Montery Bay. I live near Humboldt Bay, northern CA and the entrance is 10 times wider and tankers still get stuck when they go to far south in the bay . @mikewerneburg28998 ай бұрын
HI Barry, Word of advice, if you like the hat you are wearing, best put a sting and clip it to your collar. One look at a bird going by, and away it goes. Love your sense of humor! Keep your eye on that headstay pin! it's mighty important. Carry on matey!
@sailingcacique63438 ай бұрын
Great video, thanks for sharing. That beach looks great but I hate it when the beach is so crowded ;) Why is your Red Ensign bundled up on the backstay?
@arjovenzia8 ай бұрын
You jest, but you can get fairly picky when your spoilt. we've often moved to the next cove down if there is someone else camping there. where there are places you can drive a 4x4 along the beach, its considered quite bad form to set up anywhere close to someone else, out of earshot is about as close as you'd want to be. out of sight is better.
