Loved this tune. I hope its in standard tuning as my fiddle is very well behaved and says nicely in tune, and I have no desire to change that. I like that its in the key of G too.

Thank you so much for this! This one is going to join the ranks of my favourite posts from you. I once wrote in to you about how much fun and therapy it has been for me this year during Covid since I found your channel and picked up a new violin after a more than 20 year departure from this passion of mine (You know things like university, marriage, children, work, other important stuff got in the way ). So along with the Lannigan's ball set, lockdown maggot, and so many more this is going to become part of my regular practice sessions and I hope to memorize it quickly. What you say about memorizing the tune really rings true and I know exactly what you mean. So thank you again so very much, your videos and tunes have really whipped me into decent beginner/intermediate shape and I think I am already much better than I ever was after years of practice as a child and early teen! Happy new year and may 2021 be a better year for all of us in the UK, Canada, and the rest of the world!
