The first story reminds me of July 07 when we had historical flooding in my city of Worcester, UK. I was at work and the rain just kept coming down, heavier and heavier, they were cancelling bus services and our manager made the decision to shut the shop to ensure we could all get home safely. Our shop was in a really old building on the high st, which wasnt very well maintained and the roof had started leaking too. I made the silly decision to go back to my parents house, instead of going to my now husbands flat, not knowing we'd be completely cut off from each other for days! One of the largest rivers in Englsnd tuns straight through the city and rose so much that the bridges were impassable. My hubby and a friend put high vis vests on and went out in a vehicle to rescue people, they found some guy in a suit and briefcase waist deep in water after abandoning his car. It was crazy!

Would Jason survive the flood? Of course he did - he was interviewed afterwards! Duh!
