Been preparing for this ragnar LRE ever since the aun'shi LRE ended. The first event was basically right when I started playing the game so I didn't get a lot of points and hope to unlock him this time around. Super excited about adding him to my roster!

slowly upgrade him but focusing on physical dmg characters (tangida for now) and others to some day can 100% every legendary event. Aoushi was closest with 1 restriction battle left.

I can agree. I pushed him to G3 today and just for fun did a try with a G2 Aethana on the legendary Rogal Dorn. I scored 109k, which is about 300% increase for me comparing to before attempts and last season.

Great video Nandi. I have been building my Ragnar and using him against the battle tank. But he is becoming a staple of my other Guild Raid teams too. His active also buffs Aethana for that turn too!

Hi I'm new, question about Blackstone. The consensus is to use it on energy refills and equipment. What about the guild credits bundle for 350bs that sometimes pops up in the guild shop? It's 30 energy, 15 credits for all guild members and 500 credits for yourself I think? Isn't that a great deal? Anyone care to weigh in on this?

What makes the difference, when Ragnars warhowl affect Calgars active, but does not affect active of Aethana? And does then Warhowl affect another CC character actives, like Jain or Tyranid Guard?

Not really, he's only good for Arena and GR. There is a strange mechanic where if you use his active ability it also buffs Calgars active ability damage.

Pistol is generally better unless you’re fighting specifically total dorn and have aethana - in which case you want knife there

Thank you for the video. A shame though that this boy truly reveals himself when paired with Calgar - a character hard to get out of luck on requisitions. I've been playing since launch, got all characters (except Papa Smurf) and 3M+ points, but only 50 shards of Calgar :(

I’m confused about War howl with its interaction with calgar? Reading the tooltip it SEEMS like war howl only buffs friendlies without ranged attacks. Is the reality that the melee only friendlies get unstoppable while *all* friendlies get the crit and damage buffs

My single most satisfying hit was with ragnar against the ork boss. I usually do about 200K damage to that boss. So the first round when I managed to get to the boss, I dealt 60K damage with ragnar with 1 hit. With 1 hit he dealth 1/4 of the damage which I usually do against that boss.

Not mentioned here is that while Ragnar’s value in PvP is high when used in TA or offensively in regular arena, his value is quite low when used on defense in regular arena: due to poor AI, he’s simply obliterated by Revas. Shame we cannot set different teams for arena offense vs defense. And it remains to be seen how useful he’d be in Guild Wars on defense.

Nope! No ranged attack! It looks at the characters attack profile, not ability profile. So despite the fact that his active can hit range 2, he counts as a melee character!

It's depressing, being a returning player, and seeing all these powerful characters while clinging for dear good to my legendary Archi and gold Roswirtha with hopes they get me through arena at least. I stopped playing during the Eldryon relese event. Got burned out with real-time pvp.

In my opinión, Maugan Ra is strongest if Boss dont move and Ragnar is better if Boss continuos move. A lot of damage in a single turn but not the same the rest of battle.

Gotta say, NOT a fan of the stacking double war howl. I think it deserves a nerf. My favorite use of Aun'shi's active is to reset the Winged Prime's Alpha Warrior summon. But I can't summon two of them on the same turn. War Howl should be no different. The stack is overpowered and makes in particular TA very unfun, as everyone is just going to be playing the same meta.

I’m playing Ragnar a lot, and definitely agree that stacking war howl is actually overpowered. On the other hand, you deliberately loose 1 character attack (Aunshi) and to play a melee based team is a challenge. Celestine is the true meta cancer with Thaddeus and Sho’ being like 90% of teams. Celestine is extremely hard to outplay, Thaddeus might be doubled with Aunshi as well and Sho kills anything, as soon he is on higher ground.
