I'm unable to recall the skill build accurately because it's been so long (6 years), but I think the stats were 99 int, 91 dex and 34 vit. InRO was an official server, so the stats/skills were contained within the max level of 99/50 for wizards. The equips used were nothing extraordinary - just the usual int and damage modifiers for offense, a hiding clip, cranial shield, a few +7's and +8's. I preferred the damage potential over full-on dex. Example - If speed was an issue, the cast-time of a level 10 jt from a 99 dex wizard could be equalled by a lower level jt from a max int wizard (with sufficient dex but not maxed), doing the same damage if not more. The int wizard's increased damage-per-sec and 1-shot damage potential made a huge difference. I believed that what mattered is the player's presence of mind, knowledge, reflexes and latency compared to a little cast-time reduction. Also, I used heal scrolls dropped by Geographers to break after-cast delays - I don't know if this trick works now.

Salvo For fast cast build in 2014...Wing staff -5% cast, shield Avenger + orlean gloves combo ( -5%)...a Ulles cap +7 with katheryne card -1% cast per refine....a hiding clip for pvp/woe sure...cranial.. ( this build for a low rate server, with No mini boss or mvp card of course )

@Aristoteles1702 you're right :D reduced delay always helps. But it's not very hard to get, I just used a heal scroll (dropped by geographers) immediately after the sg. That breaks your after cast delay and allows you to use another skill immediately. You can do this with most skills and any scroll that allows you to click on yourself or another target. and this only works in official servers, so you'll need to stock up on those scrolls.

It was an official server that was closed in 2008. I was using heal scrolls to break the delay after casting. I heard this has been patched and doesn't work anymore.

The only problem with this is one thing: If the opponent has a Marc card or high Int you're screwed. But aside from that this is brilliant :D

That's right, it's reduced by mdef. I took about 20 seconds to pull off the last one :P But yeah you're probably going to be interrupted by another player before you complete that setup hehe. Most of these are not fit for today's PvP T_T I just wanted to share that something like that was possible, maybe when the situation is favourable :P

mmm, sry for having to tell this, but its totally outdated, renewal introduces 2 dif cast times, fixed almost not reductable and variable, also for pvm everi boss mob will tele if he cant hit you, coz of ice wall abuse, also theyre great tricks for 1vs1 or at least the strategy behind,imposible tris for woemaybe the ice wall defence trick still works against non pro players coz they wont be able to target, also now after cast delay afects items too, but guy, youre really pro gratz on that ;-)

This game is available online, yes :) You won't find this exact version because the official Indian server was closed in 2008, but there are many free-to-play private servers available that are very close to this.

Not really bro, its not really hard to counter wizards way before. they can't just spam storm gust w/o clown since they don't have enough dex or redux cast time to do it. And also, knight with brocca(ouch) and good geared hunter can win to wiz with one on one waaaaay back.

this is a video from 2009, the delay came a long time after, back in the day you could start casting a skill right after you finish another one

Beru Amari nah dude, most of the skills now have like 3-4s delay to cast another one. some "heavy" skills like storm dust, lord of vermilion have huge after cast delay so u cant abuse it. the warlocks have a skill called comet that u have to way more than a minute to cast it again. but thats not just with magic classes. every class skill got "nerfed" like this
