The way Audra McDonald & Brian Stokes Mitchell’s voices blend together on Sarah Brown Eyes is too beautiful for words!

They were both magnificent. The whole cast was, but the voices and plot line of their characters were heartbreakingly beautiful.

I hear the line “what is wrong with this country” and I realize that sadly we need this show now more than ever…

Frank Galati was GENIUS. And dear Marin. What an incredible loss. I loved her so much as a performer and a human. I sobbed during Back to Before. Thank you for posting this!

My ex-wife was a fellow theatre major at Western Michigan when Marin was there in the early 80s. She had nothing but good things to say about Marin as a person.

I’ve tried for years to find a bootleg- thank you so much!! I’ve never been able to watch this show without crying. I love listening to the music regularly but can only watch scenes occasionally as it just breaks my heart to see Coalhouse and Sarah not get the happy ending they deserve. All happy tears when Coalhouse Jr. runs out at the end though!

Omg me too. That song also always gets me.🥲 I was in a production of Ragtime in 2009. One of the best shows I have ever done.❤️🎭

Admittedly, that was also my near-reaction the first time I ever saw this musical's powerful ending. Wheels of a Dream is a guilty pleasure favourite number of mine.
