I was curious to know the story of Rahab and kept seeing her name in the Bible App plans- I’m so glad I searched KZbin because this had me in tears- feeling every emotion she portrayed. Thank you 🙏

Rahab later married a man named Salmon from the tribe of Judah. Rahab became part of the lineage that led to the Messiah - as one of Yeshua's ancestresses. Salmon and Rahab had a son named Boaz, who later married Ruth the Moabite, who also showed firm trust in Yahweh. When Ruth's mother-in-law Naomi left Moab after the end of the famine in Judah, back to her homeland, Ruth did not agree to leave her mother-in-law under any circumstances, but said to her: "Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me." (Ruth 1: 16-17) Ruth also became one of the foremothers of the Messiah! Blessed be the love of Yahweh!

I feel so called to this story, as someone who deeply relates to Esmerelda lol from HOND (hunchback of notre dame) because she's a "sinner" and a "gypsy thief" and probably other names if it weren't a kid's movie... yet she was deeply compassionate, a soul of beauty. And Rahab, someone that religious people such as my baptist uncle would call names just like Esmerelda was called - yet she was an ancestor of Jesus. and people still suck - that's why when I start to worry that if I make a mistake in His commandments God is gonna take everything, I remember that is probably my fears speaking. Pagan "idols" have helped me in the past, but maybe not in the "I wrote your entire story and never left you" kind of way.

beautifully done!! the red scarlet represented the coming Messiah and HIS shed blood. satan has tried many times to destroy the bloodline of JESUS, from initiating the violence before the flood, God used Noah and a flood to preserve the future bloodline of Jesus, God used Rahab to preserve the bloodline of JESUS.

"...I've had to have been the last person Yahweh wanted to see..." That line struck my heart. A person who wanted something better in life, wanted something more, was drawn to God. They wanted to partake in this God of hope but felt unworthy to do so because of their past. The Lord does not look at our past but looks at our soul, beautifully created by and known by name by Him. He wants us to call out to Him, He wants us to come to Him. He wants us to have a better life. To forever be a part of a family, His family. But we must set our past and current burdens and concerns aside; believe and have the courage to choose and walk in a new way of life.

Beautiful job reenacting the story of Rehab. The story of Rehab is one of my absolute favorites! As a broken woman God used her to be apart of His word and story to point to His never ending love and mercy! What a wonderful God we have!! And to know she is mentioned in the genealogy of Christ, just shows how God loves to redeem and show His love reaches everyone no matter what your story!

This does a great job of making Rahab feel like a real person, neither too heroic or too self serving. Casting and costuming made it feel more real to me than it normally does and I like how it ties to wondering who her piece of the greater story, and likewise our portion of the story will affect others.
