The general deck should be face up. Meaning that you can see what the next card to hit by buy row before you make a buy. Which was one of the most frustrating thing in starrealm, imo.

Seems to me that the brain boards (score boards) would be better if they had punched holes, and you put a token in a hole. That way, the score is not easily lost when the board is moved. But otherwise, this looks like a lot of fun. The artwork is gorgeous, and I like the sense of humour.

Quick question: at 19:22 the Goon is played by Jen, so she deals 1 damage to you, but you have got Arkham City card. Doesn't Arkham City location protect you from that damage until Jen gets to remove that location? Thanks for the video! Fantastic as usual!

Hexanauta I think the Arkham City card protects other buildings, not the player it self... so, if Richard had other buildings in play and Jen wanted to destroy those she first would have to destroy Arkham City

At 14:48 should Jen not be able to do damage to you since you have Arkham City out? It happens again at 19:28, 20:30, 20:42, and 22:09

No... the Symbol on Arkham City prevents Damage being done to other Locations... So iif Richard had other Locations in play and Jen wanted to destroy them first she would have to destroy Arkham City... There are other locations that prevent Sanity Loss from the player but the symbol is different

+rahdo in the rules it says face up but the example pictures show the general deck face down. So don't know what's right :-)

Great and useful video, the only thing is saw that made me question was card playing. The ghoul working with the terrible old man, I thought the symbol on old man would mean you would need to trash a card for him not for any card trashed this turn. I'm just curious because I just bought the game and want to make sure I understand it completely. Thanks!

+PurpleSkullToad I know this is super late, but I've been playing the app and there it indeed is the case that abilities like Terrible Old Man just require that any card was trashed beforehand. And I assume the official app should operate by the official rules ;)

Joshua Williams my understanding is darwin was the lead, and rob was his design partner/editor type. rob has development credit on this game as well, which was published by tasty minstrel games :)

Looks like a fun game. Suggestion; it would be very cool if you would host (via SKYPE) a limited number of gamers to what you demo a game, while you field questions as you go. the views would have to click "Like" on your channel. Next, you would ask what game they would like to see you demo. Then a limited number of view would be chosen via your discretion and notified of the SKYPE meeting via E-mail. Anyway, just a thought! Rahdo, I like your runthroughs, but sometimes you drive me insane (which is fitting for the theme, I guess). I like how you let people witness your thought process behind the choices, but you take two minutes to decide if you want two money or deal one damage on your first turn, which is really a nobrainer decision. You always take the money. I think it'd be better if you'd spent those two minutes later in the game where there are actual choices to be made. Sorry if I come across as a bit blunt. I really like your videos!
