I have already commited myself to obtaining this game when I first heard about it. I am so glad it plays well with 2 players, and I am very happy it has your 'seal of approval'.

I just purchased the AEG version and I have to say, the new cards just pop with color, compared to the Japan version. Really happy with it !

I wanted to say thanks for the Biblios review. Just purchased it and finished it with my daughter and had an absolute blast! That and Jaipur are going to get a ton of play!

I hope there's expansions! I've been thinking of getting Dominion as I know I can keep getting expansions to extend it, but this looks like a better option if I'll be able to go somewhere with it =)

Quick question. When you acquire victory cards, you place them in your deck like all the other cards, and when they come up, they are basically waste? They only score points for you at the end of the game? If I under stand the rules correctly

+rahdo I was just doing my run through on this and the rule book clearly states that if you play a card with a victory point yo do advance your VP token. So, VP cards can keep scoring over and over during the game and then they also get counted at the end of the game.

+Scott Holcomb sorry to say but this isn't correct... The VP cards we are referring to are end game scoring ones, just like the estates in Dominion... if those cards scored you points every time you played them there would be no point in not taking them as early as you could... What the rule book says is that there are action cards, like the tourist train, that also have VP's on them... those cards are scored each time they are played but the Yellow end game scoring cards aren't! They are end game scoring

Yep, I see where I went wrong, I did my setup like the book and it only had the one VP rewarding card that happened to be the tourist train. Thanks for responding, it all makes more sense now.

You can probably just buy opaque card sleeves and get away with buying expansions for your Japanese version. I am not sure if you can do the same for Pandemic, I got the later version of that game, so I don't have that issue.

Do you plan on reviewing Trains: Rising Sun? There are new mechanics and two boards designed specifically for two players.

I have Dominion and a few expansions and I think I'm content to not own another deck builder at the moment....

I agree, the map isn't well designed for 2-players... I'm looking forward to the new map pack and Rising Sun

The classic art is best. Plus I like the Japanese on the cards! I wish I could find a Japanese copy.
